No point - you'd still get 5 drives and a kick rugby.

Why "absolutely not" Noble or Millward? (Remember, him tipping us to loose most weeks on the sporting life isn't really a reason for Millward)
Aston would be a real gamble, I appreciate that but Powell wouldn't have been in my opinion.

As for your comment about it being pathetic me using TRB's opinion for credibility - I don't need to and replying to any other poster than you I wouldn't have. I merely raised it because unlike the majority of people on here - you dont ridicule his opinion.
Now if TRB has a problem with that, then I am happy to apologise to him, but as he hasn't said so, why do you feel the need to jump in?'"
So who's opinion would you like me to spout?
I don't ridicule TRB's opinion when he's on about stuff he's expert on. I'm not as convinced as you that he is the man to decide if Kear stays or goes.

A simple request would be for you to accept that others have a different opinion to you and that (a) even though you think your right all the time it is possible that you aren't (b) there is no need to resort to insults because someone happens to have a different opinion to you or raises what they feel to be valid points with regards yours.
As I have said before, you do make some good points every now and again, so its a pity you feel the need to resort to insults/condescending comments.

People state their opinions as fact but then feel insulted when they are not agreed with - I'll never twig that but then I'm going to hell anyway so who cares.

Noble, milked others success at bulls the left McNamara a wreck of a team, almost relegated Wigan with a side maguire won the league with.
Mildred, has found his level in the championship.
Powell or Aston could be worth a punt, but it would be a bigger gamble than keeping Kear in my opinion.
If Kear left, then I'd deffo take a punt on Powell, I know from some "ex" fev players that he definately shook the club up, introduced a real professionalism to the club and the plodders didn't last very long. Also a very good technical coach IMO.

Non of the above are close to Kear IMO, however Mildred is a great example as to why you can rotate coaches at Saints and get away with it. Can you imagine where we would be if that loon took us over, can you imagine how many youngsters would be ruined by him. Great at Saints but who isn't, done nothing since just lives off those players and what they achieved.

I have that completely different!
Noble came in when the club were in danger of relegation; built a new side and were competitive throughout his tenure. The crowds got behind the club big time whilst he was there and it is almost entirely his squad which won the league under Maguire.
He also did a sterling job with Crusaders and got them from no-where to play-offs!
I know he's benefited from other circumstances, but I would have him at BV in the blink of an eye!

Being a terrace coach which so many seem to be you included is the easiest job in the world - no consequences. Being a real coach like Kear is for real men - hope I'm clear on that.'"
What a truly pathetic effort Vasty.
The thread is about Kear, not whether coaches are real men or not.

I think your judgment and reccolection of what actually happened is lacking here.
Now I'm going from memory here (and accept I could be wrong as I dont have time to research it at the momet) but didnt Noble get Wigan to within 80 mins of the grand final 3 years on the bounce? I was under the impression that Millward had a shocker of a start to a season at wigan and Noble turned them around - fair enough McQuire has taken roughly the same set of players and made them into a Champion side, but we are talking about who would have been best for us (and not Wigan). Noble also took a scratch team to the play offs in a year, Harris has a similar group of players and they are at the bottom with us.
millward had a disaster at Wigan, accepted. He has taken a relegated team to the top within 2 years and they, like St Helens during his time there, play some absolutely fantastic football. He was responsible for one of the most entertaining teams for decades, a team with an unbeleivable never say die attitude - he lets his sides play with freedom and gets some cracking performances from them. He would be the man for us in my opinion.
Dont remember Powell doing a lot wrong at Leeds and Aston is clearly a brave call but given how he has got Sheffield over acheiving means he must have something to offer.

Maybe, but to be fair he caught Saints at a point where a lot of key players were on their way out. Also depends on your version of success, if Mick Potter had achieved with us what he did with Saints he'd be a god.

Apart from taking a relegated Leigh side to the top you mean? I dont think he could have done any more could he?
