Could possibly be one of the best signings in our recent history a player with the ability to win games on his own. I appreciate there are question marks over his attitude but for me a club in our position would be mental not to take a punt on such a talent. I have always been impressed when I've seen him play and think a lot of people have taken against him because he has chosen to cross over to the dark side.

Spot on, I think quite a bit of it, has been blown out of proportion because like you say, his move to union. But I reckon if he agreed to come, he'd give is all, he's young, competitive and probably wants to silence a few critics. But whether it happens, is another thing.

What facts that can be 100% confirmed are in the public domain? I've only heard that he wants to leave and that somet has gone off subsequently but I never heard what. Is it a case that people are automatically assuming he's responsible because of the timing and the fact he's off to union, or have I missed something?

Irrespective we are in no position to be turning down the chance to have a player of his ability in a position we have been crying out for. He could be brilliant he could be a waste of time, but if we don't take a chance we will never know. And who else is out there?

Maybe looking towards next season if we do loose our licence. Could be forward planning from the club. If we do stay up then the lad has the potential to be an SL standard player.

IF Eastmond has signed for the rest of the season then he is the type of player who could make Kevin penny become a valuable asset to us. Penny is no good without decent service and a good kicking game. Yes he's dodgy in defence and probe to brain explosions but utilised in the right way he can do a job for us. With a good half back creating space for him and giving him decent kicks to chase he could get back to his early career form where he was scoring tries for fun.
