He'd get game time at Hudds though. Seems a shame if he's not going to stay after the loan spell (which I can't see happening but who knows) but I suppose it gives us stability for the rest of the season with Brough gone and allows us to plan ahead with a little more clarity.

Kirmond was a hell of a player and if he can produce the form for you that he gave to us before his injury you have got a good signing.

Would like to think he can recover from his knee problem and if so would love him back at the Giants.

Planned is one word, signed and coming is another.

There's alot of things that can changed between now and then, there's been plenty of players we've planned to acquire at this stage of season in preparation for the next and there has not been for one reason or another a great conversion rate.

We shouldn't be counting our chickens yet.

Still, more time to negotiate contracts without Brough umming and ahing. If the plan falls through earlier than it would have done if we waited on Brough, we have time to form a contingency plan! Point is, I think we're better off with this saga dealt with.

Not happy with Kirmond on loan until the end of the season at all. He may be a good player but where's the benefit long term for us. I accept he may be useful this season but he will be back with Huddersfield next season.

He's coming back from a bad injury, Huddersfield are covered in the pack so they send him to us so that we can give him Super League experience and get him ready for a return to Huddersfield all fit and more experienced for next season. Seems we are doing them a favour.

If it was a permanant deal then I would be happy but it looks like we have been "goosed".

I can think of at least one person who will agree with you, as that is pretty much the argument they posted on the Giant's board (pre poster cull). And I have to say, it's hard to argue against. A much better temporary fix for them than for us, if this is the case.
