Of course, you're right. It's only my opinion, but something like 'Dreadnoughts' (of which, I see another sold yesterday) and the 100 years book, and booklets such as 'Trinity's Wembley Triumphs' and the Harold Poynton benefit book (Challenge for the Championship?) and great pieces of history - a shirt signed by the team which finished 11th is not. (I got one from the 2001 team, which did the same, for a fiver!)
I shall be adding to that Dreadnoughts thread again shortly, I found more great pictures and bits to scan!

You would have been a quid lighter. Not me. I thought about going higher, but my head ruled my heart.
I asked the seller some questions after people raised the collar issue, and the player who conducted the auction was Nigel Stephenson. Someone on here mentioned that he was the only other player to wear the number 6 that year, and so maybe he wore it after Wally had worn it the weeks before, kept it and then flogged it.
My view of it was that it was the shirt made for Wally Lewis, as it matches his press presentation shirt, but not actually worn to play in because the later strip had a collar on.
I hope it found a happy home, especially if it is genuine.
Now, if Neil Fox fancies a clear out of his loft to pay for his next holiday, he can pm me!!! One of his cup final shirts would look lovely on my wall.
