| Quote: Spongebob "i took advantage of the day off and went and watched stanningley vs eastmoor u10s which finished 38-18 to the home side, very little in it in the first half but stanningley were very aggressive and it clearly upset the eastmoor boys who started backing off their opponants, two fights also in the second half the second involving around 8 kids which is a worry but im quickly learning that when you go to play stanningley you after fight fire with fire or they will just bully you off the park.
Bit of a pattern emerging here don't you think ?! Don't know why they don't just take up boxing !'" they should submit a report as mob fighting like that among kids at that age raises the concern how to separate them, parents on the side can not intervene and have to watch in horror their kid being set upon, nightmare scenario

| Great performance by my lads (Stanley u10's), very pleased with our defensive effort. It was commented on after the game yesterday that when we play Stanningley it will be explosive to say the least. They are quickly gathering a reputation for being extremely tough and uncomprimising! I cant really offer an opinion as we only played them at home last year, and although they were an aggresive side, they were not over the top.

| final score from tonights re-arranged u10s game was
cas panthers 20 lock lane 18
a very tough game in which i thought we were second best for the majority of the game with lane in a determined mood, but we found a way to win scoring the winning try with about 5 minutes to go and then having to defend well to hang on.

| V. Suprised at the Cas derby game tonight . Spoke to the Lock Lane coach earlier this year after we played them and he thought that it was too
big a step up for his lads to play in the top division - but fair play to them , they must have improved big style !
Good set of lads & coaches , hope they do well.

cas derby games are a real leveller, unlike other derbys in the likes of wakey and leeds these kids all go to school together and have probably played the game in the school yard 100s of times so the fear factor isnt there in the game and the ones that normally hold back dont.
lane have improved from last year and have a real gem of a player in the halves and are a good tackling unit.

| churwell chiefs under 11 vs oulton tomorrow at 11:30..after what i have read about stanningley, perhaps they might team up with hunslet warriors.. oh i forget .. it's okay for warriors to fight, kick, punch etc until they get a bit back (like from queens last year) and they then refuse to play !

| Crigg under 10's won away at whinmoor today 36-18 . Didn't play well today to be honest , defensively not at the races today and it was just 1 man rugby for most of the game - but anyway - a wins a win as they say !
Another bad thing , one of our lads ( who loses it v. Easily) ended up in a kicking match with one of their players . Came off 2nd best though so might think twice next time - rest of the game was ok though.

| eastmoor u10s 22 cas panthers u10s 24
a cracking game of rugby with the lead changing hands 4 times in the second half has the teams were locked 12-12 at half time, some good rugby played too with the ball been shipped around superbly.delighted with the win for our boys eastmoor seem to always just beat us but today we played well and kept our nerve to hold eastmoor out at the end.

| Drighlington 18 Stanley Rangers 6 bit of a disappointing result from what as a tough game, its the first time I have visited their ground and heard about how short the field was, the 20 and 30 yard lines are within a foot of each other and also the pitch seems very narrow which made the game more of a face to face encounter, both side couldn't get much moment going and was level at 0 -0 after 20 mins,
one think that stood out is the amount of off-sides and markers not standing straight at the play the ball, at one time one of their lads was right at the back of the scrum waiting for the ball to come out the young ref wasn't biased in anyway but I thought failed to get them back the desired distance.
cracking game to watch, our only try came from a beautiful looping pass missing to players to reach the winger who ran in 40 yrds out if we only had a full side pitch I feel the result could of been the other way

what a tough league and age group they are turning it into, very little between any of the sides and all improving which is the most important thing of all.
in one of the other games it finished dewsbury celtic 18 lock lane 30.

He's fine thanks mutts, glued him back together at A+E!! Not seen that much blood on the rugby field for a while! Good game where attack dominated proceedings....think it finished 26-28 to us.
Agree with Brayton, great group, not much to choose between any of the teams.
