If I could find anything positive you have said about the club, stadium or players I might give you a chance but you've been warned about trolling. You are on your last chance.
If you need further explanation you can PM me or read the AUP.

Plus by my reckoning there was 5 ish u18s in the squad. And a handful of reserve team players too who are all getting their toes wet at that level. They will all be better off for this experience, and congratulations to them. Against a strong FC side too. Plus apparently Harvey Smith went really well at 9 which may be a positive early indicator about his potential, which Applegarth would have never known about if he didn’t play today. Some real short sighted overeactions flying around after this result.'"
Was it an entertaining game to watch?

Hmm. Not really.
There were flashes of something interesting but as a game, certainly for a Trinity supporter, it was pretty boring as we couldn't get near their line.

Do you come to Trinity for entertainment? Or do you look at a game for what it is? And possibly get behind the u17 s that played today? Or the Reserve players who fronted up against Hulls best players? Mark obviously has a plan with the preseason. If at round 10 we are terrible, then have a problem. Not now, when our kids are making up large numbers of the side!!

| I kind of get why some people are somewhat miffed by this game ,it certainly had me questioning the logic to it all .Is a drumming good for the kids that were on shows mental toughness and resilience, or does it deflate them , I’d hope the former ,because if they get called upon that’s what their going to get , it’s dog eat dog .So I can see it from both points . As a paying fan it wasn’t a spectacle I’d like to be seeing from our club on a regular basis or care to remember , but if the coaches got what they wanted out of this game and it helps going forwards , I’m in .

Battye looks like he's looking to be the best prop at the club. I've liked him in every game.
Kershaw is right back to his best. He and Murphy are first choice wingers to me.
Hall looked classy when put back to centre.
None of the kids in the backs really impressed, without being disrespectful, as they need more time, but a couple of the forwards went pretty well I thought.
Proctor did what he needed to but was flanked by a couple of weaker defenders so difficult to judge.'"
I think we will go with Murphy and Lineham on the wing but, more than happy with Kershaw

| I was lucky enough to watch the game from the benidorm flats - an invitation I couldn't resist, except that half the others present were Hull fans haha! No gloating from them though, although there's no doubt Hull played some cracking rugby!
Some say what good does a hammering like that do, well in my opinion quite a lot!
For one it's brought us back down to earth after three fairly comfortable wins and that's not a bad thing. Secondly, and I strongly disagree with some others posters here, I saw a lot of promise from those young players out there and some did good things that will enhance their game. Joe Law did some crunching tackles for a young kid and none of them shirked in effort. I think for the entire second half the average age of the Trinity team was about 20, and yet the floodgates closed a bit in the second period.
This game was NOT a pointer to what's coming this season, but it is a pointer in what's coming in future years and there's some good young talent at Trinity.

I thought Taufua unfortunately looked poor yesterday, missing tackles and came up with a clanger in the in goal. Think it might take abit of time to recapture form, but he looked off it, even for a friendly. Got to be Lineham (never thought I’d be saying that but pleasantly surprised) and Murphy. Lineham walked passed me before the game, I’m 6:3 and 17 stone and he made me feel small, he’s a right unit and has been really running his weight in preseason.

I agree 100%
It will be interesting to see how Murphy goes, after the offer from down under.

| Interesting comments from Mash about the match and how he takes full responsibility, some nuggets in the interview though about the number of players he put in who have not played Academy yet and are still in the scholarship. A great experience for these lads and something they wont forget including the score! On a positive note though what does this message about the Wakefield scholarship say? my answer chances are you will get a game at high level very early on, can only be positive. Young Harvey Smith got MOM and looked much more mature as a player than his age would suggest.

| Struggling to draw many positives from what was simply a shameless earner for MC's coffers yesterday. Heard from a mate in the hospitality that MC even made a joke about it being so and that Mash was miffed by the 4 friendlies. Nice touch to put the ticket price up also. £100 day out for me and my family - bought tickets before the squads were released so not really an option to not go. Having to buy food from that scumbag in the burger van charging £8.50 for chicken and chips, and then stands in front of you eating chips from the heated display, not wearing gloves, so we can all share whatever was on his hands.
The positive? - that Harvey Smith lad. Wow. He is going to be a cracker.
