Just to clarify, is SRW a good guy still or a bad guy? I fail to see the purpose of a "second trust". Surely this would just muddy the waters somewhat?
The response to WMDC (and I mean no offence whatsoever by this) surprised me with the professionalism and level headedness. Purely due to the amount of emotion involved which can often impede a clear mind.
Excellent work.
I read somewhere on here the council being referred to as "corrupt scum". Not telling you guys how to suck eggs but, rightly or wrongly I think you lose a little credibility when you allow things like that to slip out. And let's not forget, it's the support of the council that you really require.
So once again, kudos on the professionalism of the response.
On a personal note I genuinely hope this gets settled amicably and, most importantly, swiftly. This could be something that goes on for years and it would be dreadful to think that in the end there'll be nothing worth saving. Not peddling anything there, but obviously the longer WT spend outside Wakefield the more damaging to the club and the city that would potentially become.
Ill only believe in new stadiums when I walk through the turnstiles.... It's a shame that both my club and yours have let it get to this stage. No matter what anyone tells me, I firmly believe that both clubs could have done more to maintain their grounds over the last 50,60,70, or 120 years.

I wouldn't call them corrupt more inept and totally of of depth at the level needed to complete a legal procedure, maybe even gullible could be added to the list of descriptive words and lazy thinking that all will be rosy, its no doubt the Council has had the wool pulled over their eyes and now its become a cover up |

Either the council knowingly concealed information and were corrupted, or the were inept and are covering up their mistakes.
I'm not too sure which is worst tbh
I don't think SRW is going to come out of this smelling of roses from everything I've read

As SC has stated, we don't know who the other 3 are on the proposed new Trust. I sincerely hope it never happens as it certainly won't be welcomed by any of us and it will do nothing but create further division and distraction.
If there is to be Community Stadium it needs to be handed to the Stadium Trust set up to oversee its construction and administer its use for the whole community. Wakefield Trinity would andchor tenants, having accepted their invitation to use it many years ago, but we would be working hard to ensure that it used by others - both within and without RL!

Totally agree. Would distract from the ongoing fight and will dilute any action and cause continuity problems. |
