| Quote: J.T "Brough made the right decision running the ball was the best option at that point. That Blaymire didn't pass the ball when he should have done and then getting done for crossing/obstruction was the real killer not Brough's decision.'"
Surely Broughy (or possibly Drew?) has to take the blame for (apparently) ignoring his coach? If we had scored he would have been jack the lad, but we didn't so he needs to shoulder the blame in my opinion.

| Quote: BenchWarmer "Any team having to employ dirty tactics to earn such a penatly count need to seriously look at Themselves.'"
But take a look at the penalties. Obviously the dissent is a bad issue and I agree that needs to be stamped out. But there were some harsh calls today. The 'trip' allowing Wakey to tag on two points and the high shot that Senior got called for by the touch judge spring to mind.
Quote: BenchWarmer "Yes but sometimes its the timing of the penalties that can be crucial. The offside Leeds got with less than 5 minutes left after knocking on, was definitely a "gamebreaker" had that not been given we would have had the ball and probably seen the game out.
Also thought that Leeds should have had someone else binned after webb, when they were penalised 4 times in the space of a minute'"
That also works both ways. I said above there was a trip that we got penalised for (And i'm hoping common sense prevails and you will agree that it was a bit harsh) where Webb had got posession and was away. That would have seen us 22-16 up and a different ball game. As it was you were able to push yourselves back in front and gain the momentum.
Hard to say on the sin-bin issue, as personally I felt two of the times Leeds were harshly done to again.
It, of course, does work both ways though.

There were crucial plays after the decision not to take the two that arguably cost us the game. Atkins non attempt to tackle Senior for the Burrow try being one of them

Clearly round the chin, in my opinion this one.

That's fair enough. In my opinion I think it was a 50/50, but there were plenty more of the same kind of challenges from both sides that weren't penalised.

Absolutely agree!! If it comes off he'd accept the praise..if it doesn't, then he should accept the blame. It's part and parcel of taking the risk!
If he's not up to taking responsibility for these outcomes, then he should have stook to JK's orders and taken the 2 pts.

| Funny how every time we pagger Cas, such has become tradition over the last few years, a load of them trot out the old "we dont care about Wakey, Leeds is the real Derby and the one we are really bothered about" line.... Until Leeds scrape past us, then there's posts like these laughing at us.

| I thought it was the correct call at the time.
Leeds had obviously upped the intensity and we were looking vulnerable (even though we had the extra man) From the point of Brough refusing the two, we then had a good 4/5 minutes possession and territory which would have been the game clincher IMO if we had managed to hang on.
We could have easily kicked the two, then surrendered possession straight away to put Leeds in a good position, then the way things were they could easily have scored three tries in that 5 minutes that we had been camped deep in their half.

He didn't ignore his coach, he made a decision.
Kear is 100 yards behind him. He didn't ignore him.
As far as I am concerned Brough proved tonight that he is better when he is in charge. We need to find, or develop a line breaking running stand off, not an organiser. Let Brough be in charge. It worked better tonight when he directed play.
The kick still wouldn't have won us the game anyway. They scored 6 ytries to our 4, so Brough was what was keeping us in it for God's sake.
I know we like to find a scape goat but it isn't him.
To be honest all the players that have recently taken criticism proved a point tonight.
Grix did well on his wing
Korki was awesome
Petersen worked very hard (though a couple of mistakes were irritating)
and Obst was the best tackler we had. Outstanding. Wish he'd been stood where Atkins was when Senior came running. He took him everytime he ran at him on the wing.
Right, off to bed know. Going out with some Leeds fans tomorrow so need my strength

Regardless of who was wrong or right regarding going for goal, should Brough (or Drew) take orders from the Coach or do their own thing?

You dont think we have a system for getting the coaches instruction to the players? It wasn't as if the tap was taken instantly, seem to recall there being a decent period of time - so I dont agree that they didnt receive instruction.
Scapegoat again - we should have a link to the dictionary at the top of the site for people to look this word up.

coaches get sacked based on results and performance , with this in mind the player should show respect and do as requested
