| Quote: braytontiger "think we will give it a wide berth tbh i dont see the point of having kids stood on the sideline half the game while the other team get to play there strongest 9 for the entire game.
at our game today both sides had 15 players available and we asked if we could play 12 or 13 a side which they refused saying that their 4 subs were rubbish and it would be an advantage to us by playing the extra boys, how they expect them to get any better stood on the touchline i dont know
Rob, are Heworth travelling over this weekend mate?

no we arnt playing this weekend, giving the kids a weekend off ahead of scarborough but extra training next week.
the fixtures for scarborough look good, newton storm the team to beat looking at what they have been doing-un beaten since u8s and and their defence hardly let in any points.
ive been asked to ask you if you are coming to our festival sunday 11th july has we have had no reply from the invite.

it is usually around a 10.30 start and finishes around 3.pm although has u know these days can drag on a bit,it will be the same format as last year up to now we have sent out invites to lock lane, townville, garforth, oulton and yourselves and we have entered two teams.
ive had a quick look on the newton storm website and there results and match reports are on their,it looks like they arnt put into groups in the north west counties u10s and everybody plays everyone although from our previous meetings with them they are a very good side especially defencively "only conceded 80 points from 19 games this season and scored over 500"

Booooooo !!!!
crigg -32
stanley - 36
Good game to be fair - terrible conditions for chucking it about but both teams played some good stuff . (point well made that these are only 9-10 year old lads!)
Feared the worst early on when Stanley looked far better but fair play to the Crigg lads for coming back with only kicks seperating the teams in the end ,would of been nice to see the 2 teams on a nice sunny day !
Good to see Mutley again & all the best for Scarborough .

| Crigg 32 - 36 Stanley
I thought the standard of rugby last night was excellent from both teams as I stated during the presentation, i think there were only 3 ar 4 knock on's during the whole game and two of them came from unexpected off loads We started very brightly and should have been out of sight by half time but we gave away two sloppy tries to keep Crigg in the game. Got to say the second half was a different game and Crigg played some nice rugby and didn't deserve to lose the game in the end. Games like that are a credit to the standard of group one at this age group, and as I said at the end of the game the scoreline wasn't the most important thing, the skill on display was Good set of lads at Crigg, best of luck for France

| Agreed, very good game played in poor conditions. A couple of the Stanley tries would have gone to the big screen, but the score didn't really matter as the game was the winner.
BTW - excellent take from the young lad (Stanley) who caught the ball that came down with snow on it!!
