| Quote 1315trinity="1315trinity"I get it when people are upset about losing young players brought along by the club, but why does the club get the blame when they leave?
To me IF they are that good the club will surely offer them a contract they consider appropriate and that we can afford.
I reckon if the heart of these players was at the club they take up the offer and stay - unless it's a big star such as TJ who must have been offered bucks we can only dream of to go to France.
Aydin, and Batchelor are not in that status to me, and if they don't want to stay at Wakefield then off they go.
We have to accept that some kids don't give a monkey about Trinity, so as a Trinity fan through and through why should I care if they go? I look forward to seeing some positive team building though to replace them.'"
Both use the same agent by all accounts ,so nice little earner for him/her ,and let’s hope he/she had their best interest at heart , time will tell on that one I’m sure

But they are young 20 somethings who have spent 4 to 7 working age years earning next to nothing to chase their goal of becoming a regular 1st teamer at SL level. When they achieve that or are very close and reach the pivotal point of a new contract they expect to begin the realisation of decent wages. Unfortunately there is a pervading attitude that home grown talent don’t get the deserved wages that players ‘signed in’ from other clubs get so they become easy targets for other clubs offering a decent contract. These are young blokes who want to start an adult life, get married, buy a house, have kids etc, you can’t expect them to put their life on hold any longer because they’re home grown.
I know some very good young blokes who’ve turned down apprenticeships and jobs paying £25k and one at £35k+ in order to accept £9k and play in the Academy or be a fringe First Team squad player. They then develop and make the first team on a regular basis only to be offered far less than that position deserves, It happens all the time

| Quote The Avenger="The Avenger"No, Corey Hall got caught ball watching at A defender and was too passive off his line meaning he didn’t get out and meet Vete. Aydin came in from B defender and put a decent shot on but the damage came from Hall staying on the try line and not meeting Vete a couple of metres off it
I’ve just rewatched that twice and this didn’t happen, well certainly not in the build up to us conceding a try at least. If you’re alluding to a missed tackle in general play then maybe it did but that would be picky beyond the extreme'"
Can’t tell from the camera angle on the Sky Sports highlights but felt watching live at the game that Aydin was slow to react and Vete was his man and wasn’t quick enough or strong enough to stop him one on one
Agree Hall could have done better but the way the defensive and attacking lines were set Minichella was his man and had he scored I’d have blamed Hall…

It’s the other way around,
Looking at the attacking shape, Vete is running the unders line and Minichella is wrapping around the back making him Aydin man
Crowther is at Marker and his main job is to kill the scoot from the hooker and to map out only when the ball has left the hookers hands. Hall is too busy focusing on the hooker and even turns his hips in giving him no chance of meeting Vete.
In fairness to Aydin he spots the ball is going to Vete very early and comes in to attempt to stop him, had the ball gone behind Vete to Minichella then Aydin would have been at fault

This
Which is one of the main reasons I’m disappointed we’ve not kept him
Young British props are very few and very far between
Like you say mopsy
Good luck in us finding 2 quality props
Side note I’m delighted with the signing of Bowden

| Seasoned pro's make mistakes, all humans if life do. Why an error or a defensive misread is now being used to justify the loss of a player with decent potential I don't know.
As it is it maybe HKR offered more and also, more importantly at this age, gave him assurances of opportunities to play, something that Aydin has only really got since he probably made his mind up to go.
The club, and the player, will move on, its just frustrating to spend time on a kid only to see that effort for nought.

| New to board. Very disappointed by the loss of aydin and Batch who are both waki lads but it happens and I would like to think the club has a plan and the younger guys such as Eseh can fill the gap left behind in the not too distant future. Just out of curiosity would most people be ok with losing Batch and Aydin if say Murphy and Hall can get long term extensions and the thought of Eseh / Shaw getting more game time

Yep. That's exactly what I'd hope for.

| Well let’s be true here that KR are a poorer team than we sre. Haven’t they finished below us in 5/6 last seasons. They’re pretty much a more struggling team than we are. Not really ambitious but must be the money talking.
They have a good one with Batch though.

That is exactly how it is!
It's a fine line balancing the budget...I liken it to selecting a dream team at either football or rugby...you start with a big pot....pick some quality players then before you know it you've hardly got any of your money left and still have about 4-5 players to fit in so have to go back and lower your sights a little...
Aydin is an improving player but he's well down the pecking order and the people who control the budget can only assign so much to each player...Hall and Murphy should be the two big priorities to tie down to longer contracts as they are both players you can see attracting plenty of interest from many clubs in the coming seasons...if keeping those two with much improved terms means having to let Aydin go then I can live with that decision. I'm also not that sure he'll get more first team opportunities there than if he'd have stayed...we'll have to wait and see...

| Think they must have jumped at the money and you can not blame them.
I don't see KR much if any better than us but they must have sold the club and a new coach to them.
On reflection I think we should have kept them and shown our intension.

| Quote Prince Buster="Prince Buster"Hull KR dont run an acadamy and with signings like these I can see their logic. Incorrect.
