So what is the answer, who do you replace him with?

Well like I said, it's only my opinion that he's not been getting the best out of these players, the person who most matters probably disagrees!! I don't have an answer, as re. who should replace him, I just think a new, fresh approach from someone different is needed, I think things have gone stale, and most coaches in most sports do have a shelf life unfortunately. He has had terrible luck with injuries since last April/May, there's no denying that, but that will only stretch so far as to why things have gone pear shaped since. Watching as a fan when we could actually go to games, and on TV, something just seems missing to me, just a hunger and desire maybe, I can't put my finger on it but the club hasn't had the same feeling to me like when we were on the crest of a wave a couple of years back. Maybe we overachieved those two years, and we've underachieved since then, and in reality we should be somewhere in the middle?! It's like now with the Fifita thing, it all adds fuel to the fire that something at the club isn't/hasn't been right for a while, I really don't know, it just seems a shame that we did so well for 2 years, and now it all seems to be unravelling and slowly falling apart.......

Come on PT, your first line contradicts itself, You state that if you're short of money (as we are), then the quality of coaching staff suffers yet your general opinion is that CC is ok as a coach and doing a satisfactory job.
I'm not criticising the players' ability, I'm criticising the lack of tactics and the fact that the coaching staff are lacking in ideas and motivation skills. We know we have a pretty good squad, but something is stifling their skills when they get on to the field of play. That motivation must come from the coaching staff.
Yes, I'm sure with our best back line and best forwards we would be better, but we've seen too many occasions when the best have been on display but have performed very poorly. due to poor tactics and commitment.

Didn't we have virtually our first choice team playing against Bradford in the cup game ????....and we all know how close that turned out !!

Same with the Widnes game last year.

Agree about Batley in fact if there number 9 ad not slipped when through in the first half they would have played Catalan .There 9,7 and 6 ran us around the park and there ball movement was a lot faster.Think this shows how bad we are .To many things to put right unless big changes are made

I think we can or maybe some agree that we have one of our strongest squads but weakest coach. I fear that to save money and avoid taking the RL loan we will trim the squad further by first not offering contracts to the majority that are up for renewal.
I cannot see us getting rid of the coach who has clearly reached his natural end at Wakefield based on the many recent performances. The fear is that next season we are attempting to survive on a lower quality squad whilst retaining the current coach.
We have survived many seasons by being a team playing for each other but now I just sense this is no longer the case and that spells disaster.

Just watching Wigan v Car looks to be on a different planet to what we play .Basic rugby every thing from passing to tackling done at a speed
