We have better candidates for captain , rather than a player we have not even signed.

When you look at the squad as it stands (unless we are getting rid of some of the contracted players) as yet we don't really look as good as the theoretical team we appeared to have at the start of last s season.

If the other 3 or 4 signings are tansy, Arundel etc we are gearing up for a world of pain (or the million pound game)

At from Wahbrook and Godinet, the other players barely played last season, apart from Tim Smith who besides being average, almost cost us our place in SL
Collis and Ali on the treatment table, Sammut deemed no good by 4? different coaches, it will be hard not to improve contribution to the team and I think Mr Smith may know enough to make us competitive.

try reading the mail - as all those injuries could re occur this year - the point I was making is that on paper at least we had a better team at this time last year

I think pastman you should get your information correct, I only post under this name no other. I know many of you cannot accept that there are others who are disgruntled with the current squad and the way the blame is placed at the feet of the supporters. You chose to recoil into the warm cocoon of ignorance believing we are correct in all matters there is only one who has not be blinded by the glow of our current chairman and his ambition.

Looked at fordys list of players contracted up to now my God we need a lot more quality if we're gonna compete next season,last time I saw scarlet pimpernel it was at pictures but I agree a lot of what he says alright carter did a good job putting our financial problems back on track ,so what he's getting plenty of adulation on here some of it over the top, expect plenty of flack but my opinion and what I've seen of him and his sidekick is plenty of arrogance and he might convince some of you but I'm afraid as a rugby man for many years apart from his account any skills he doesn't impress me
