I don't understand this fixture debate. You can make good and bad arguments for whoever you get first/last.

For example, if we got Fax first up, you could say it's a good opportunity to get a win and start the eights with some confidence. But on the other hand, they will be more enthusiastic than ever to cause an upset that first game, whereas if we got them towards the end, in all likelihood they are probably out of the running and less enthusiastic to cause an upset.

Same will Hull KR, could say it's a good opportunity to get them after a cup hangover, but again, getting them later, they could already be promoted and aren't as enthusiastic and desperate as the team who are still chasing promotion.

Most likely outcome that the teams who have 4 home games, start at home. So that means the fixtures will be

Leigh V Wakefield
Bradford V Salford
Hull KR V Halifax
Widnes V Sheffield

Well we are fast approaching what we were told would be when the real Wakefield would take to the field. This was according to our last coach who unfortunately we kept too long.
We have appointed an experienced coach and have apparently changed the squad to meet his requirements. If we fail now then I hope they don't do the usual of blaming the lack of support for producing the team we have. I think we all know that the majority will not be here next season let's just hope that those that are will be playing in SL albeit not in a SL stadium or even in Wakefield.

I think Salford aways a good start, win and it gets the club buzzing and looking forward to our home game.

The last 2 games look very winnable so it's imperative that we win at least 2 of the previous 5

Avenger the last 2 games should and must be won. It would be great to get off to a flying at Salford. Bradford have realised that they have been found short in the centres and recruited 2 and they will arrive at B V expecting a win. I don't think they will get one. If all goes well we will have 4 points after the first 2 games.

Maybe it's just me but should a leading official of the RFL and the figurehead for the middle 8's really make statements like this? Wouldn't sticking to commenting on the competition as a whole and not talking up selected individual clubs be a better idea?

It would be great for the Bulls to achieve promotion, their gates would go up then maybe the RFL could increase their rent.
