roll on march
mutts with all due respect there never was any prizes for the mini league season neither was their ever going to be promotion and relegation at the end of it,the yj were just viewing the results has a guide to where teams need to be for the start of march then it will be the real deal.
expect to see 4 groups of 10 or 3 groups of 12 dependant on how many teams enter the summer league so i guess you will see the likes of stanley, shaw cross, oulton raiders and heworth joining the 6 sides that have played the mini season.

| A cracking win for Stanley Rangers Reds U13's this morning, away at Wetherby Bulldogs; not sure of the final score, but some outstanding attacking play saw Stanley run away with it - 46-4 or thereabouts.
Interesting clash of coaches btw - both teams coached by WTW old boys.

ermmmm, at least 1 team from Huddersfield were confident of being within YJL next year.
like you mentioned no prizes i guess that's why crigg pushed so hard for cup success a yorkshire cup final is quite a result for a nothing season and still got another semi to play.

| cas panthers went down 12-26 in the cas cup semi to lock lane,we were leading 12-8 at the break and were good value for a bigger lead but faded late in the game with the scores at 12-14, with 5 minutes to go lane grabbed two late scores to give it a lob sided scoreline which wasnt a true reflection on the game.

| Stanley Ranger U14s 38 Dudley Hill 0 in the Preliminary round of the Barla Nationals
The lads made it hard work on a bitter cold wet day as it wasn't the easiest to go out without having an eye on next weeks final
Dudley came with a game plan which worked in the first half keeping the score to 10-0 not easy going when playing up hill but both side showed some good defense.
The second half started to open up for us and they put up what I would say the best second half performance of the season through just pure grunt and drive.

Shame Lock Lane ruined what was a good second half performance with some of their on-field antics. My lad already looking forward to next time we play them after spending all Saturday afternoon in a&e for what was a definate deliberate foul (right in front of the Lock Lane based referee), and also the elbow that Reece took under the posts when he looked certain to score
Many thanks to Brayton and Paul for their coaching efforts this 'year', think the boys have learnt a lot which will stand them in very good stead for the challange ahead next season.

| a very depleted panthers side missing 5 regular starters and key players lose 14-32 against stanningley to end the winter season.
a pretty decent effort tbh given that every single player on the field was switched around and played in different positions to give lads that hadnt started many games the chance to show what they could do in pivitol positions.
all i can say is its been one hell of a week for me and ive had to deal with things that they never tought on the coaching course`s.thank god ive got a 5 week rest now.
