| I would take Cox.
At 24-25 as a prop he has got his best few seasons ahead of him and is also probably at that age where he wants to kick on.
Warrington dont sign mugs and that is why they are top 4. They must have seen some qualities in him

| with fifta going we will have a quota spot- scott moore probably not here then we should look for a NRL standard hooker meaning our 9 and 7 would be of high standard- the name I am going to throw in the mix is Mitch Rein has been let go by the dragons and hasn't turned up anywhere yet?

| Quote: Scarlet Pimpernell "We have a more than capable prop who can break tackles, hit the ball up and scares the opposition defences unfortunately we don't appear to be capable of extending his stay. We knew we were safe several weeks ago and Fafita confirmed he wanted to stay but I guess as per usual we dithered and other teams realised what we couldn't see as the season progressed.
If he leaves then we have only ourselves to blame once again because we had long enough to sign him. If you think Bailey is a suitable replacement then I am afraid you have been brainwashed, all he would be is another penny pinching signing. We have used too many of our lives to think we would survive with a sub standard squad, when clearly other teams are strengthening. We have rode our luck and unfortunately some of you believe we are invincible regardless of the squad we put together.'"
That's your opinion and as usual it's nothing more than a little dig at the management at the club, why I don't know.
Imo of course we wanted him, it was him that didn't sign for next year straight and kept the door open for a return to the NRL, which he is openly desperate for. You think we'd bring him all this way, to play at the back end of the season, where apart from the CC we had not much to play for, pay for his travel, Accommodation, Car etc to basically as you put it 'dithered', yes alright.
CC said in a number of interviews we wanted to keep him and spoke as though it was almost a done deal, especially when they talked on the radio about him missing games next year and how it could effect us. We more than likely offered him a very good contract for our club but for Fifita we were always probabaly a stepping stone back into RL, to get back with his Bro/family and back into the NRL and thus more money than any club over here could offer him. Plus we don't even know for defo he's left yet. All we have that's stirred the pot more is a dodgy photo of him in a cafe with his brother, presumably talking to Newcastle about next year.
As for the rest of what you've put, why not wait until we finalise our squad and if it isn't up to par at the end of season you can pop up and say I told you so.

Yes, It's the age and the fact that he could potentially be coming into his prime as a Prop that makes him imo a far better option than Bailey.

All of which makes sense, if you predicate it on the fact that the player himself lacks the capacity to make a decision about his own future; nice and simple as it would be if MC could sit a player down and force him to sign a contract against his will - that's not the real world. The real world is more likely one where we made it clear we wanted him, made him an offer, but he kept his options open with a view to getting an NRL gig. So you're talking tripe again, in ever more desperate attempts to dig at the owner.
With regard to Cox - I'd take him in a heartbeat - big, rawboned, tough and difficult to stop; I'd have Bailey as well for a year - he's got bags of experience and his pantomime villain persona seems to have been left behind at Leeds.

Agree about Fifita although it always looked like he would move on if he got himself fit and showed his worth and he clearly did both.
Bailey, I'm not so sure about.
Warrington, Cas and KR last season and he did little at any of them.
Although he can no doubt do a job from the bench, even for a club like ours, he is only a squad player.
In a star studded Leeds team he went ok but as a front line Prop forward, no.
Mind you, we could run out of options.

| Kopzcak signed a two year deal along with everyone else. Not a clue why you all think he's off contract.

| Ryan Bailey is nothing more than a journey man who is now reaching the end of his career. If we sign him he would probably see it has his last season. He would probably be more than happy to come to us for one last pay day but surely no one expects him to do any other than go through the motions and sit out long spells of injury. If we do sign him then it shows we are either gullible, desperate or both.

It's a gamble similar to taking Ricky Bibey from the championship or Richard Moore off a building site in Bradford.

| Ricky Bibey a bit similar , however Richard Moore was much younger, still had many years left and something to prove, totally different in his case

Bibey and Moore were relatively injury free, Bailey isn't.
Not a gamble we can take, even if things get desperate.
Would have rather sign Tickle.
When JK was last in charge, he brought in Bibey, Sculthorpe, Pryce and Fox from his 2003 England squad.
Ferres was also acquired from Bradford and Wilkes and Grix signed from Widnes when they went bust straight after their NFP Grand Final loss.
I hope that JK can unearth some more like these that he knew how to get the best out of.

Neither were injury prone and 33 by the start of the season when they came to Trinity unlike Bailey who may follow others before him to clubs like Featherstone.

Cox at 24 is a different proposition and played 18 games for Warrington this season. It comes down to CC and JK though, CC was happy that Cox moved on at Hull KR and didn't give him much game time there so it makes you wonder.
