We offered more than Hull were prepared to offer partly because they offered him a reduced contract and only 1 year deal.

At his best he is a very good player that will enhance our team. We just need to get the best out of him.

I think it's a good signing, during his time at Hull he has been a good player, probably not as good as the hype. Works hard and knows his way to the line.

Downside, his attitude, came to us in awful shape after the Wolfpack and this will be his 4th club in 2 years or so. Also picks up a lot of knocks.

Will improve your squad if he has the right attitude.

Would have liked to keep him, but everyone has there value and we are desperately need to freshen up our pack.

It makes you wonder do we sign these players & hope for the best 2 or 3 of the squad needs replacing so why don't we sign someone who's really worth the money & then bring on the players we've got around him the 2 or 3 we give away aren't going to be missed but the wages will come in handy

I hope he can regain some of his early days form but from what I have seen it will take some coaching out of him. Never been a big fan but lets hope he can get in the mix and perform great for the trin like so many before him.

Some of you are being a bit harsh on Westerman. Yes it's fair to say that attitude problems have followed him around throughout his career, and had he the professionalism of say a Gareth Ellis then he could have been a world beater. However, even taking into account his off field issues, he is still a very good player. If you get the same level of performance out of him that we have got this year then he will improve you without a doubt. I'm disappointed to see him leave.
