I didn't say that and neither did others that disagree with your opinion. Luckily your not the chairman.

For what its worth I don't think he did any better than JK would have had he been at the tiller or a fair few other about last season but and this is where we will see the benefit Smith will go about putting things in place that will stand us in good stead for future years. The bloke is a vast knowledge of the game on and off the field and knows his stuff yes Sunday was a loss but the season is more than one game long. He has brought some good players in that just need time to settle and lets face it you would need to go to the refs sponsor to not notice how much fitter the players are. Give the bloke a chance we are only one game in if we were half the season in and looked unfit and had loss after loss we could all say no not as good as made out but some how I don't think we will.

Too right BS is putting structures in place, this started last season, when T.Smith, Locke and L.Smith were dropped for the most important game in the clubs recent history.
Someone has already mentioned,it's not going to happen overnight at Trin, unfortunately some people can't see past the ends of their noses.

Jesus Christ!!! The only hysterical reaction seems to be coming from your direction squire.
As you've seemed to have worked it out, people are discussing the merits and also the alleged failings of our coach B Smith, the only problem is, is that you appear to be unhappy with the pro Smith camp by accusing them of thinking the sun shines out of his arris, a very mature attitude to have :roll

Hypocrisy at its best, as you and Vastman have taken a similar approach to those on the other side of the fence.

One match in and there is already a fence which I assume means two camps! Only on this forum - absolutely bonkers and counter productive icon_rolleyes.gif

Gee Brian Smiths CV is great! lots of competition win and lots of non disgruntled ex players!!!!!!
can anybody see us winning any of the next 8 games? seriously ? look at the draw.

I pencil it us as winning our home game against Salford as our next and maybe only win of the season!!!!!

I think the players and fans at Hull FC and Bradford may have a different view to yours.

Impressive argument...I would be REALLY interested in hearing your credible, realistic choice to replace him. I won't be holding my breath waiting for your reply...

Quote: Sacred Cow "Smith has a history of been able to make significant short term successes with a club but then it tends to peter out quite quickly. '"

Hi, Parramatta Eels supporter here, from Sydney. I just thought I’d point out that this is simply untrue. Smithy was with Parramatta for ten straight years, and we made the finals in eight of those years! The previous ten years we didn’t make the finals once. The transformation he made to our club was one of the most remarkable turnarounds I’ve seen, and we were always a force to be reckoned with while Smithy was at the helm. The years before his arrival we were an absolute rabble — the early and mid-1990s weren’t much better than what you guys experienced last year. In 2001 we won the minor premiership, smashed the NRL club point scoring record for a season, and made the grand final. This was Brian Smith's fifth year at the club. He again guided us to the minor premiership in 2005, when he’d been with the Eels for nine years!

Quote: BOJ04 "No HE isn't!

he has wrecked every club he has been to - never won a thing- he is good for the first year(he did what we needed him to do last year- we should of got rid of after that)

if he stays for full season we will be relegated.'"

No he hasn't wrecked every club he's been at.

He did a great job at Hull when he was with us and turned some very average players into a very good team and some of them into internationals.

He's came into Wakefield at a difficult time and maintained your Super League status. I wish you and Bri well for the season.
