I thought Smith did not take on the line and looked really rusty..whether thats down to match practice i dont know.

Think he should be in reserves to get match fit and Harvey (who we were trying to sign pre-season) should feature next week hopefully and hyde if back tends to be busy in the halfbacks.

That said i will still back smith for the time being. His first game.

His first game after months of not playing and also playing with a team who he's never played with before. Add the fact that most of the team are only playing together for the second or third time after a very uncertain and unsettled start to the season.

NGB4C have you ever played as a half back playing behind a pack that is not going forward, I have,and believe me believe me it is not a pleasant experiance, both half backs today were playing together for the first time so give them a chance to get to know each other's play and hopefilly playing behind apack that is winning the collision.

gleeson can rot in the wings for me,rather give our home grown lads there chance!
