It's the same fans who were telling us that Applegarth would get us a top 6 finish in Super League who are now telling us that we'll come top in the championship. I think we can all see that their judgement might be a little off

The season has been heart-breaking, but when I sing "Wakefield Til I Die" on the NS, I mean it.

I'll be there next year - hopefully with new owners - but I'll still be there.

So will I. Next year needs to be a positive momentum builder. Hopefully a strong squad and some finals and high finish. We supporters need to get behind that for sure.

Mc been interviewed by james deighton on bbc radio leeds (i seen it on fbook)amd he hopes the takeover be completed in ext 7 to 10days but hes hoped for that for last 5 months.
Also he says a playing squad of 20 to 22 next year with dual reg and loans

So likely about 25 squad and full time academy. Would probably like to see a few more.

I really hope that Kershaw will be here next season. Said they were going to sit down with him. Him and Croft have been a good partnership this last few weeks vs some strong teams and I can see that going great guns in the championship with Jowitt at the back.

Didnt say think it depends on ownership but guess alot does if ellis comes in and does a beaumont things could be totally different.dont see how 22 players is enough.around 15 to 16 currently stsying for next year or maybe signed from elsewhere bu spose young lads may get a chance which may be goid or in some cases may be bad

Ever the accountant, how terribly uninspiring. He just doesn't get it.

It is definitely not enough, look at this season with injuries and short term loans which contributed very little. This is not the ambition required to bring supporters back or to compete for first place. We are up against teams who are pushing for a return to SL and this is our proposition.
I look forward to our band of those defenders of the faith to explain how this is positive regarding our ambitions for next season and will help bring the supporters back. I thought this season was done on the cheap but this suggestion is just doomed to fail but I guess will cost very little.

The new owner needs a total clean slate with new staff looking to change the culture totally. All this half baked accepting mediocrity mindset needs to be a thing of the past. Do things right or accept we a championship semi pro side.

Just keep in mind these are real people with real jobs and real bills to pay you are talking about.
Many people at the club do a great job at what they do, and they will probably be worried about the future right now.

Realistically does any body want to keep 15 of this bunch

That's the nature of working for a results based business, if your boss isn't going to invest in the company, you aren't going to be in stable employment

Maybe it makes sense for Ellis and the Club to settle after player contracts change on 31 October - might be a bit cleaner especially if Ellis is using a holding company. My money on 1st November as THE DATE!

The main thing is we get an experienced coach who knows how to get the best out of the players at his disposal. Something sadly lacking this season

Exactly right PT, I experienced redundancy just 3 times in my working life, it’s not something I would wish on anyone., good luck to the current staff.

What I said was, when people say there should be a clear out top to bottom, they are talking about real people....like the guy who does the pitch or the kid checking tickets at the gate, or the people in the shop.

But hey, that's just me.

No pop tart it's me as well. I just want to hear from our door and gloom merchants what they would do to take club forward.

They are real people, so maybe their employer should have though about that before putting the club in this position
