| I have to say I have been one of Baileys biggest critics particularly in his Leeds days. His tactics were there for all to see - but he did play at the highest level and perhaps he has grown up a bit? I agree he may be worth a punt on a one year deal. Every pack needs a Mr Nasty and we haven't had that for a long time.

I'm not mistaking him but that was the guy - try scorer was definitely the main protagonist and a bit of a wally but Avenger definitely made a few very bold claims regarding himself.

On Bailey I have to agree with Vasty. His CV speaks for itself. The very fact Warrington picked him up shows he still has something.
Worth a year contract with an option.'"
No ego from me this time, just seemed to cause an unexpected over reaction - nog like me at all

| Like we need another player who spends more time in the medical room than on the pitch. We only just got shut of sick note Anderson, we already have Germond .

I'm assuming Try scorer is now posting on the Cas forums with his lad playing there.

1. That would be "Mopsy" surely?
2. If Try Scorer's history was to be believed then he will have a far more famous surname.

| Would the signing of Bailey galvanise the rest of the Wakefield supporters, excluding the 12 or so who post on here, will he help sell season tickets, I am afraid that the answer to both is no. We should have moved on from the signing of players like this because he would be a retrograde step whose best years are behind him.

Which Prop that's available would increase ticket sales? Even if we brought the other Fifita over it wouldn't make much difference. What would is a sustained period of success over a few years.
At this point it's about getting a a set of forwards in the squad, that will give our back line enough chances to score tries. If CC and Kear think Bailey or Cox can do a job, I'll trust them to make the call.

I may well be wrong but I'm pretty certain Try scorer and Mopsey are one of the same. I did confront him about it at one game, he just smiled and drew circles in the dust with his kicking foot. The posting style was very similar.

| James Graham is also 31. You wouldn't take him either Scarlet?
Even if Bailey is past his best , what is left in the tank may be far in excess of others being touted. I'm content to leave it to Chester and Kear . If they think Bailey has something to add to the squad, fine by me.

Just about every post from that bloke Try Scorer made turned into, I know more about the game than you possibly could, but yet never ever got round to showing his vast knowledge and also I've coached some of the all time greats, it was cringeworthy. Don't remember Mopsey being like that tbh. Unless it was a total troll account and he got us good.

Wrong there Michael old boy, I think It's more likely to be Mopseys love child than his dad
My guess though would be Dickie Mint.

| Quote: vastman "I'd take Bailey in a heart beat. Steady prop at his peak age. As TRB says Kear likes his props old and mean and I'm feeling CC feels the same. I agree because I tend to think that players like Bailey at clubs like ours either rise to the challeng or fail miserably - thankfully in our case the latter is rare it's worth the risk imho.
Funny but what baffles me is that any NRL has been or never was is seen as great on here and many on here are happy to take a punt on an unproven like Cox. Yet a player with Bailleys CV is sneered at based on his perceived personality which frankly is a fairly common one in RL - we really are a snobby set of fans. Some of you need to accept that we are not ordering from the fine dining menu, we are egg and chips which can in its own way be tasty.
Someone please explain to belly what egg and chips are!'"
I wonder why since he has left Leeds he hasn't hung around at any club for longer than a season or two? Yes he's now past 30, but as Jamie peacock has proved most props can go well past that age and still perform. Players like him are interesting in the fact that at Leeds they were very small cogs in a well oiled machine, anyone with any RL knowledge knows the likes of said Peacock, Sinfield, Burrow, Macguire were the true 'greats' of that team and in their prime would have enhanced any other club, but players like Bailey, Kirke etc when taken out of that environment are shown up for what they are, very average, ordinary. Now that's not to say they couldn't do a 'job' at a lesser club, but I also think that mentality and attitude comes into it when you have had nothing but success at the probably best run club in the land, must be quite hard for those fringe players at Leeds to motivate themselves when they get moved on. At best he was a spoiler for Leeds, put there to wind opponents up and hopefully get them to give needless penalties away, but not entirely sure if he didn't give more penalties himself away by employing such tactics......
