Ok i apologise for the name calling, that was uncalled for. I don't take any real positives from the fact that again we rolled over horrendously at the start of the half once the going got tough and a few late tries doesn't make me feel any better. You saw it the other way. Fair enough, we will agree to disagree.

| One thing totally not related to the thread is the crowd was announced as 4597 i think? I thought there was more than that myself as Leeds travelled in decent numbers but Carter says he always calls it as it is so i assume it is correct. It must have been around 50-50 looking around. Given Leeds is a drawcard game, it was a nice sunny sunday and the Brian Smith factor are we really down to our last 2000 or so fans? If so i worry for the future.

I wouldn't worry too much. I think the nature of the losses has sapped everyone's enthusiasm [i've only paid to see 4 games this year as I cannot afford to be spending 22 quid especially when it's to watch us get smashed] but also MC has dropped the ball a bit regarding student prices. I and three friends had season tickets last year, this year I haven't been able to afford to pay full whack as I'm doing my teacher training. The other two have circumstances that prevent this too but all may have been able to attend with a student concession.
We just need to see this year through really. If what MC says about our cap ability next year then next year's team will be one of the most competitive playing budgets we've had in super league and the fans will all come back as long as the team are competitive on the field in my opinion. A bit of decent marketing wouldn't go a miss either in and around the city centre.
There's been no positivity for trinity fans over the last 2 years really and until the players lift it and dig in i suspect it won't be until there's a clean slate for next season until crowd numbers go back up. That said, I will be doing everything I can to attend in the middle eights as I think it's vital the players receive the support in their attempt to stay in super league. In short, there's not much point or motivation to get me to turn up to Belle Vue until the middle eights because, like our previous coach has said, that's when our season starts.

Yes we are, I've said it for a while. Although form will no doubt put many non season ticket holders from attending, the numbers of people actual willing to part with their cash to watch Trinity are frighteningly meagre and will not enable the club to thrive as a top flight entity. It will always be a struggle bar the odd blip.

| I agree in terms of attendance
Leeds brought a lot, which I'm sure MC will appreciate but it does show we are at a low point with crowds, however, if we beat Salford next week (I realise that is a big IF) we could easily draw a lot back in.
If we can show we are going to be competitive in the middle 8 I think the crowds will gradually increase

I agree and i think the Salford game is huge for us. A win under the new coach might just give a little bit of belief going forward and tempt some back but if the same continues, followed by a very tough trip to the south of France shown on sky which i'm not confident about, then i fear attendances for the remainder of the season could be very poor and it has to hit revenue MC's projections which means that player budget might not be as large. Big game.

| Our fixtures before the middle 8 are now
Salford (H)
Catalan (A)
Hull (H)
Hull (A)
Warrington (H)
Castleford (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Clearly there are no easy ones after the Salford game so that is key there is no doubt.
Unfortunately Hull have stepped up a bit but we've had good results against them previously so why not.
It will be a big task for Smith and the team to get any wins but just one and some close games where we show some resilience would do us good for the middle eight.

| I have just scanned a few comments..shambolic errors, not good enough bad attitude jumped out. We were good enough to beat Cas and HKR at the start of the season, and pretty well so too. St Helens home we were robbed ..then a few injuries and the wheels fell off. We are a mediocre squad but nowhere near as bad as these results. That said the main issue for me is what happens when the ball goes wide. Our centres look all at sea and there sems nobody sliding to cover with them. We are always short on numbers and everyone including Leigh knows it. Even they just flung it quick out wide and hey ho there it is..try

If Trinity could provide a competitive team we would have good attendances. Our averages were 8/9k not long ago. It is the fare being served that is the problem. Most of us have had enough I'm afraid. I am not embarking on a 120 mile round trip for the dross we are currently seeing. Sorry chaps

| I have a season ticket but did not go because I am fed up of how the team play and the club is currently being run. The general consensus is Collis as gone but not a word from the club. They won't play Sammut but once again no reasons are given.
I have read that if we survive this season then things will be better next year but unfortunately they said that last year.
We as supporters have seen season ticket prices increase, whilst the senior age limit is reduced and students are removed. We cannot take drinks into the ground, some areas are cordoned off to supporters and the kick off time was changed to 1500hrs. I like most would probably accept these changes if the product on the field was worth the extra money and inconvenience. It is not so now you could say that the very survival of Wakefield Trinity is on the shoulders of Brian Smith. The tools he is provided with to do this is in the hands of our board who have found it easier to reduce the squad but now they will have to fund suitable replacements.

| I have to say that listening to our crowd is sometimes worse than watching the game.... and that's saying something.
So many are revelling in the mistakes and just waiting for something to moan about.
It was good to hear the loud North standers cheering the team early on even when it wasn't going our way.
As a group, like it or not we are going to have to be more supportive of the players if we are going to see progress. Teams definitely respond to the crowd.
I'd love to hear the Wakefield chants going up on Sunday. Salford won't bring many so we need to let them know we are in it together.

Customers have a right to stop 'purchasing' rotten goods if they chose.
Hardly spinless.
I admire your loyalty, I really do but 14 straight losses and gutless performances will put people off attending.
I for one, cannot blame anyone for not going to matches at the moment.
