| Quote: comeback kid "Im sorry but has nobody been watching the U 20's in the past 2 home games?? we have an excellent goalkicker in grayston, and the lad really is looking sharper every time he plays at fullback. im sure he could play in the centres instead of mellars and he would show a lot more effort! kieran Hyde can also kick goals, i think hes still training down at the club.'"
Hyde has gone to Doncaster. Could put Grayston at Wing and Cockayne who is a utility back at centre where he may be even more effective (probably the best signing). Cheap fix and worth a go also R.A. could show WTW that he is giving youth a chance?

Paul Sykes then, the current centres are not exactly firing and he will be worth 6-8 points alone per game, although I would be delighted if it was the goal kicking that cost Trinity the match next Sunday.

Paul Sykes or Kyle Briggs? Be happy with either, both would be keen to come to WTW and prove themselves. Both can kick goals....

| IMO id rather bring the youth through than loan ANOTHER reject. agar will get more credit for bringing the youth through, look at castleford. cockayne into the centres could also be a good move!!

| On previous showings Morton is nowhere near SL standard he would concede more points than he would kick!

| Think we should lobby the RFL so we can have a new rule similar to American Football, where the Kicker comes on to kick the goals and then goes off again (obviously, without affecting the number of interchanges available)

You can't win anything with kids - look at Cas' recent form; they were lauded for the young local lads in their team and it doesn't seem to be paying dividends for them.
Unless they're an exceptional and freakish talent, like Sam Tomkins, young lads need to be brought through in a planned and structured way, not chucked into the grind of weekly SL while the coach crosses his fingers and hopes for the best; that's the best way to ruin a promising talent.
As it stands, I'd take Sykes - experienced, pretty reliable, a good boot and no need to do too much reorganising to accomodate him.

| well that would suite us just fine because were not winning anything anyway!! yeah cas have got a hell of a lot of youngsters playing, im not saying do that.. bringing one lad through slowly in replacement of a centre that looks like hed rather be looking at his bank statement definately sounds good to me.

I agree. Cas have some great kids but you can't do it with too many. Need to bring in slowly not as an emergency.
Goal kicker is valuable to us. Sakes will fit the bill. I feel a bit for whomever would be dropped but that's how it goes.

| The best goalkicker at the club by a mile from what i've seen and heard is Collis. Hasn't been able to kick though due to a groin problem. TO be honest i'm not sure if he should have been playing at all if that's the truth. Surely we would be better resting him until he is 100%.

Rather then leaving Walshaw on the bench for 70 minutes?!
