| Quote braytontiger="braytontiger"heworth were the best team from group 2 last year and were hoping to move up to group 1 this time, but with how the groups have been done it will be interesting to see how they get on against stanley and shaw cross in the coming weeks.
i think the rough stuff will come now too,it was something or nothing a bit of a shove and a push and a couple of punches thrown but at the age they are at its to be expected that tempers will flare from time to time.'"
without sounding mean im surprised east leeds made it instead of heworth

i arnt too sure i think they have got it about right, stanley seem to always struggle to get a team on the field and theirs not much between shaw cross and east leeds.
onething is for certain in group1 every game will be very very tough and hard to call the winner.

mutts got to break his vow and agree with this. I was sure they would opt for 8 teams , i really do feel for lee but im guessing that a few bodies must surely start going when the school teams get up and running . I just wonder how many players have gone elsewhere at close season.
I did hear that a certain prop very big for his age had made his way over the border to join yourself rob im not going to name the lad but i was talking to his dad the last time rangers were up at crigg and to the player.
I cannot not wait for the new season might finally get to play on some better pitches but from what i hear and i think you mentioned as well the powers that be have U-Turned on funding and prefer to see our kids break legs ect.
like i said this is a break of of silence may get banned good luck to you and ALL you parents and players next week im very excited as is my lad who is chomping at the bit.

| Well Stanley Rangers U14s reached the Wakefield cup final today beating Normanton knights 28 - 10.
it wasn't the walk in the park as they might have expected as Normy came with a fantastic attitude to ship the ball from side to side, their hard work from the start paid off when they took a deserved lead.
Stanley's efforts wasn't making any impression as mistakes was costing them field position, by the end of the first half they had manage to claw them selves back into game with two converted tries to hold a 12-6 lead.
With having to then play uphill they moved the score along slowly to make all the scoreline flattering.
While I feel that Stanley hadn't put on the display in what we all know that they can do, it must be also congratulated that Normanton did in the first half look the better team.
Upton beat Crigg 20-10 to make a Stanley Rangers v Upton final

some big games in the opening week of the 12s all round , the heworth stanley game stands out as does cas p and criggAB many others in many other divisions and age groups
here's a run down , seems to be some problem with the 8s and 9s

| Good game to watch Stanley finishing the first half down hill the stronger and went in 18-6.
Westgate then reversed the game by using some strong runs from their pack taking it to 18 all, extra time loomed.
A missed dropped goal added to the tension but it was a poor defense IMHO that allowed an 6 man over lap to Westgate and Stanley with their sliding defense was quick enough to cover the final pass
A well deserved victory To Westgate Wolves 22-18
