I liked Fifita, but it took him near 10 games every season just to get back to match fitness, and that was from what should have been a reasonable benchmark. I haven't followed his career since he left us, but if he's not already match fit, it's a big risk for a quota spot we don't have

I would like I’ve said a few times look at the best winger in championship in Lachlan Walmsley. Even if it meant a fee. He would be a good signing for 2024 either at championship level or at SL level. If we are looking at 2024 signings he’d be high on my list as a quota player.

It may be that his U.K. work visa is still valid hence his return is not so complicated.

I think if this has happened it’s a good move. Dave is an infectious character to have in the camp and he will likely be our best prop.



The huge potential downer is if Tanginoa has broke his arm vs Catalans. That would be a big blow for rest of the season.

If Tanginoa has indeed broken his arm then it’s a big blow and would somewhat diminish the uplift brought by Dave Fifita.



Maybe Tanginoa could also be deregistered and get Andrew Fifita over here as well, now that would lift the mood on the terraces and providing they’re both near match fitness I could see us getting a couple of wins.

I'd be happy with two Fifitas but I'd prefer Dave and a fast experienced halfback not made of biscuits.

Andrew has fully retired and has only very recently had another one of many post retirement surgeries.



To be honest i doubt Dave is anywhere near fit either. He’s only played a couple of low level games all season due to injuries.

What will we do if he can't make 40 minutes on the field and hardly take a run......oh wait.....never mind

For info Dave played today off the bench for the Entrance Tigers in a defeat to Maitland Pickers. Lets hope he got through unscathed.
