Note, denying he’s signed is not fake news unless he had actually signed, at the point the club made this alleged statement maybe he hadn’t signed even if he’d been made an offer. The most obvious explanation is always the best, yet another attempt to make mountains from mole hills.

I would think that he's better things to do than to deny, or otherwise, every statement on here.

I think the policy is until its formalised with a signed contract then it hasn't happened. I suppose the recent experience with Langi will have entrenched this approach.

There will be a number of people underwhelmed by this signing and that of Hall but to me they are perfectTrinity signings.

Hall is a known quantity to us and has according to many a lot of potential.

Whitbread didn’t move here for the weather. He won’t be on mega money and has a career to build.

I’m now happy with the squad as it stands and I also know there is cash in reserve should that special player become available.

Realistically this season with all the disruption that will occur I see survival as the main aim, followed by top half of the table. I’ll settle for that because if the rebuild occurs then 2023 will be a whole new era.

We also need some luck. If we can keep the bulk of the team fit we have a decent team.

Modestly optimistic apart from the CCup, frankly I don’t know why we even bother.
Might as well field the reserves for that as it seems to mean so little to the players and that’s virtually every Trinity team for the last 30 years. Does my head in.

I think WP will use Kelepi as a SR, unless absolutely desperate for props.

Think personally he’ll stick with Arona as a prop/middle, mainly because I don’t think Arona (never that fast) has enough speed left for LF.

Although I get exactly where your coming from you have to wonder where the stats of 6’1’’ and 17 1/2 stone is not big.

That is a solid unit even by today’s standards and will take some stopping if the player has heart.

Frankly I’m no longer impressed by these monster sized players, certainly in SL I’d say that the only truly effective one is Walmesley and let’s be right he’s in a top team.

This guy is the perfect size for a mobile hard working prop, let’s hope he turns out that way.

He's a big lad but I don't consider him a monster-sized player. I've stood with Dave a few times now and he is not exceptionally big in the way Pauli Pauli was, it's the latter type I was referring to.

He’s bigger than a lot in SL so just for once admit you were wrong or do you consider him not to be that great a player like some of your previous posts suggested, when he was rumoured to be leaving or would not follow Covid protocols.
