I confess to now knowing much about this player - which really makes me think - is he any better than the likes of Gwaze?

Did you see any Wigan games last season on sky? I would say he has far more experienced and match hardened than any young lad not just Gwaze.

I reserve the right to slag him off once he puts on a Wakey shirt though.

Think we need a reality check here.
We are not signing a superstar. We are signing someone to fill a gap left by injuries.
He doesn't need to be the best. He just needs to be good enough to play a decent standard of super league as our 4th choice prop. Anything else is a bonus.

If we are just signing him to fill the gap left by injuries then why sign him up for the full season? When the majority of injured players are likely to be back for round 2 or 3? Just takes money out of the budget for a full season that could of been spent on a quota player mid season as Chester has talked about all pre season.

He is not any better than Gwaze IMO, from what I have seen.

I think we would have been okay going with what we have for the first few rounds tbh, even the likes of Pitts could have done a few stints in the front row if needed.

You need 4 middles per game and have a back up plan.

Gwaze is one of those injured.

We need players NOW, to get through the first month. If that's Navarette for a month's loan, so be it.

Chester knows what he's doing.

Don't have a problem with Naverette, he's not gonna set the game on fire but he's a good solid experienced player with a bit of steel in him, he'd do fine.

Gwaze maybe injured or not but playing him week in week out at this stage of his development will certainly put him on the injured list down the line.

Yeah exactly, he will still be pushing for a first team spot even when back to full strength imo. Just what we need to stop complacency that crept in last year.

Don't mind Navarette. He's looked pretty handy when I've seen him against us. Decent aggressive forward who makes a few errors but never lacks effort.

What on earth is the problem with this signing! Some of you seem to have lost all perspective.

Wigan don’t sign rubbish, he may not fit at Wigan that happens but whatever they saw in him is still there.

I also think trinity should always have at least one French player, it seems right.
