Probably not....according to BS on back page of today's Wakey Express, there is "almost no chance of Grix playing for Wakefield this season".
If that is the case, then why have we signed an injured player that is unlikely to play for us ???

If we were speaking hypertheftically then you would think that one club wanted to bring in a new scrum half to try to improve their chances. The problem they had was that they had reached their cap and were not sure if the club currently employing the said half back would release him. They thought we need a club who have space under the cap and will help us out. They knew we were running a squad on the cheap so had plenty of room. Let's send a player who we know will not play again on loan until the end of the season but will not announce it until we are certain that the player from Australia is free.
I suppose having a family member at the said club is just a bonus but as I said this is purely hyperthefticall.

And hyperthetically who pays the said player's wages?

It certainly won't be us I doubt brotherly love would stretch to us paying the hefty salary of a player whose not going to play.

I am sure we will have come to some sort of financial arrangement because does anyone think we are playing for a player on loan that will not play. If we did it would somewhat fly against the constant austerity measure we keep reading about.

I don't think it was done to benefit us but more to assist Warrington. I am not saying we will not benefit in the future maybe we can operate a dual registration agreement with them.
