| Quote: Slugger McBatt "There is one considerationand we do not want any salary cap infringements to hamper the next franchise bid, on the chance that the ground is delayed (not sure the RFL will buy a third "we've got a new ground on the way" application).
He's a great player, but we did okay without him earlier on, and we'll do okay without him later on. Solomona is a great player, and still is, but we have bettered our league position each year without him. One player does not make a team, and can sometimes weaken it, as a playmaker on an off-day can lose a game, as there is no other go-to man.'"
That shouldn't be an issue though as the salary cap limit is now a fixed limit regardless of your income, and we are nowhere near it I don't think.
Not saying that we don't have books to balance but Salary Cap can't (shouldn't) be the issue.

| I heard this on Saturday as well. And it came from someone who is hardly ever wrong when it comes to stuff like this.

Now you mention it, you might be right. There is more to running a club though than putting stars on the field. The club has to got to run as a business, and the squad has got to be happy. I trust those making the decisions, and if Brough goes, it gets a shrug from me, and that's it. When Drew was running the show in the early part of the season, I would have been happy for Brough not to make the starting 17, because we looked pretty potent then, and there was always the worry that his return would spoil it.

Your source must have been very drunk. Unless the fee is coming from us.

| Quote: TRB "Possibly - but I asked and have repeated the answer. They do not usually bull me - but where needs must....?
JK is keen on Korki - that is a fact. The only thing that put us off him was the price.
I have no idea if Brough is seeing eye-to-eye with Kear at this time and therefore if there is a deal done I will accept that it has been done for the right reasons.'"
Kear wanted Korki back on loan about 4/5 week ago, an arrangement was made between Nathan Brown, JK and Korki. It went t!ts up when the Wakey Board wanted Hudds to pay his wages.
