Vital two tries for Wigan just now, great step by Jake Bibby. Hardcore done them no favours with the boot though!

Would prefer Leigh to struggle this year to hopefully take some pressure of us but nice to see them playing some good rugby early on.

I take nothing away from leigh, good luck to them, however, my original comments are based on previous seasons that wigan have done the " weakened team " for Lancashire " sides, however, I still take Leigh to win !

Leigh really have lost 2 pts there with the players wigan had out and the start they had they should of won that game

For me Blake Wallace’s kicking game didn’t help Leigh’s cause ,nearly every ball he kicked went straight to hand ,wonder if that lions Maine of a hair style was getting in his line of sight .Enjoyed both games and thought for their first outings had plenty of quality on show .

The two tries conceded in the last 10 mins of the first half were the game breaker.
No question that Wigan were some distance from full strength but, credit to Leigh, who showed they will be no easybeats.

Great game for round one though, really enjoyed it.

Not sure that I go along with "the best performance of any promoted side, ever", which was said numerous times in commentary and I didnt like the stat that Leeds have THE best return in round 1 fixtures in SL - lets hope we can put a dent in that one.

Bear in mind Leigh were also half a dozen starting 17 missing (not the same quality of Wigan’s admittedly) we made a good fist of it - looked knackered after 30 mins but though we competed defensively very well

Perform like that week in week out and get some players back and reckon we have some wins in us - feel more positive after that
