Really sad for brough; been a very good SL player & doesn’t deserve to go out like that. That said (this will sound harsh), but could be a blessing in disguise for wakey.

You might be right. Hampshire in the halves with Jowitt or Walker at fullback is a better option. Sadly we are still stuck with Miller though.

| They are better options.
Are we necessarily stuck with Miller though. He does appear to have gone backwards, but in 2018 he and Rocky did seem to strike up a good partnership.
We were, I believe looking to add another forward.
Given that this could be, if true career ending, and the timescales of recoveries in the forwards being weeks, should we look at a rolling month recruitment to cover the forwards, but something more long term to cover 6/7

Apart from the fact Hampshire had a stinker tonight too.

The evidence points to Miller been a totally different playing with Brough at his side. It's time bring what was a developing partnership with Rocky back together, that looked the future in 2018 until for some bizarre reason he decided to bring the old man in.

| Yes, I wouldn't have changed that partnership either.
Think the half back issue more important now, than an extra forward.
As for forwards, remember the Widnes forward we signed, then sent him out on loan, should we not be looking to being him back, back rower he may be but it's an extra body around the camp

| Millers a strange one, he's far better playing as a running half back but we just use him as a drop off, short pass merchant and it doesnt suit him. Like when Chester gave him free reign to take the line on last year he put in some great performances but he's wasted atm.

| I think miller plays his best behind a dominant pack
Something we’ve not had since the Huddersfield away match last year where we lost arona
Everything went to absolute for us after that, it’s almost like shudds put a curse on us

Brough ruins Miller. The slowness of his delivery and his tendency to hang onto to the ball too long, completely neutralises miller. A fast 7 would have Miller back to his best IMO.

Was hoping he'd step up this year but the friendlies and tonight have been a real damp squib. I thought he had a great opportunity tonight to run in at the right corner but he slammed the breaks on and took the tackle. The set that followed from Rovers had him knocking on and Rovers scoring off the repeat.

We’re going to find out how good our half’s are next week I suspect when they go up against possible the best half in the comp in Maloney ,if we don’t/can’t get our defensive structures sorted I fear a blood bath ,just hope he hasn’t panned in yet .

Correct and if the Miller/Hampshire partnership doesn't work, as it seemed to some time ago, we're in a bit of a pickle! what then?
