| seen the u16s afew times and admit they looked impressive ,but have to admit havent seen them play any of the big names your wigans saints warrington hull and leeds yet , saw one of the internationals and without trying to put down the england team ,the french didnt look good .someone who knows more about the system might be able to tell me is the reason we dont play the top teams ,is it because last year as u15s our record was poor if that is the case until we see them play strong opposition i wont get carried away also is there a reason we couldnt play the best of our16s on odd occasions with theu19s as alot of the top teams do ,having seen the young fullback you speak of he looks big enough to handle himself at that level

| Don't see much of having a go at management, coaches etc mate. Just people expressing concern with the U19s latest result.
Anyway, I know we had signed some U15/16s that have high potential. That's great to hear they are unbeaten. If we are to truly benefit as a club in the long term, these players must be looked after and brought through the club.

Playing warrington soon, north east next Saturday .regarding Max,he will be the next fullback for Wakey. As regards the fixtures for the 16 s I don't know who arranges them ,but I would back them against any of the other also rans.

Max went on pre-season with the first team didn't he. Seen him play a few times for the u16's and the England academy looks very good, lets hope we can keep hold of him.

Good to hear. Ateotd we might not have the most talented U19's team this year but hopefully they'll be 2 or 3 out of them that can make it to the first team.

It's the development area, they have been beaten heavily in previous games so some of the 15s will feature in this one.

| I have watched the 19`s a few times this season, there are one or two good players but sadly we do not have a 6,7 or 9 who can play. Its not the players faults but quire simply 6, 7, and 9 cannot pass. The quality of passing is so poor and so slow that I have yet to see a passage of play that involves more than two passes. The ball does not get passed first receiver more than two or three times in a match. Outside backs never get the ball and if they do its in a situation when they cannot show any skills they may have. The forwards who take the ball up get really poor service from the dummy half and to be frank as a result the the under 16`s would easily beat the under 19`s. If you want to blame someone I would be asking why in the Wakefield area we have not been able to sign a half decent hooker . scum half and stand off for this team. The only other point I would make regarding the players / coahing staff is about emphasis. On twitter , facebook etc all the under 19`s players talk about is gym work, good session in the gym etc. Should they not be spending all their training sessions working on basic skills.

Anyone notice a theme running through the club here?

| Having spoken to a Hull fan at the 19s on Saturday ,it seems that the theme developing at Wakefield is the same as it was at Hull under RFA .I thought our ethos was find em , sign em , develop em , play em and in times of financial troubles sell em , but now it seems to be find em , sign em and then do very little with em. On a similar point . having watched Doncaster and Sheffield on Friday and overheard a conversation ,it seems another one the ex 18s invincibles   is no longer required,. But at least with this one  he won’t have  far to go to continue is career . Â

Most of the posts on here have been fair then you post this. So a Hull fan said it did he come on. So it wasn't Agar then who signed and brought through the quite reasonable batch of youngsters Hull have who were probably Under 16's when he was in charge.
I'm a Kear fans but this particular one is down to him.
As for the "invincible" not being wanted, it's been said many times before - you can't keep em all even if you wanted to and that may well be the case. I'm sure if Agar could off load Mellors he would keep a few more.
This not bringing them through stuff has been levelled at ever Trinity Coach including Toppo for years and frankly it's a bit tedious because as far as I can see it's used all to often to forward some agenda or other by one of the many posters on here who think they know more than the Coach. You may not be one of them but using Hull fans to blame Agar is poor IMHO.
A Coach simply cannot please everyone and shouldn't even try, he does what he thinks best rightly or wrongly and if we don't like it we vote with our feet - my feet are going nowhere for now.

| I went to watch the U16's and some 15's take on the North East rep side today, coached, incidentally, by Andy Kelly. Spirited as the opposition were, the Wakey lads took them apart - the quality of rugby was superb. If anyone is in doubt about the current health of the scholarship set-up, take some time out to go watch these lads - they are outstanding.
I watched the game with Ryan Hudson, Stu Dickens, John Kane and a couple of other coaches and heard about some of the plans they have for the youth side of the club - it's exciting stuff and if it all comes off, will put us right up there with some of the best scholarship programmes in the country.
It's a shame that one of these games couldn't be used a Club 1873 showcase - watch the game, meet the lads, talk to parents and hear a presentation from the coaches about the plans they have for the future; I'm sure it would settle a lot of doubts amongst existing subscribers and attract a fair few more in the process.

| I watched the u16s u15s game on my own,and without being disrespectful to the opposition they were very poor, iagree we have some useful players but you cant get carried away running through a none existent defence,i made a comment last week about we haven't met any of the strong teams ,if we meet em and beat em then we really can get exited, until we do lets keep our feet on the ground

correct they was out of the depth bar for a few players, I would prefer meeting a better quality team,
as for the 19s the score line look close at 32-28 win but didn't stop to watch as had to go
