| I actually thought Isaac did OK when he played. What let him down and cost him his place in the team was his kicking ability (not something that we actually signed him for I don't think).
He missed too many attempts at goal and that was costing us so we brought in a kicker. If that kicker had played a different position to Isaac John then I suspect he would have continued to play and been given the chance to develop.
I wish him all the best back in the NRL and am personally glad he has been given a chance over there. I hope he goes on to be a very good player.

| I know for a fact that there were concerns regarding his defence from the coaching staff, but other than the odd occasional mis read, which is not really un common in younger players, it wasnt something that i would say caught my eye. Certainly no worse than some others that we have/have had.

| his defence was much better than Tim Smith's and he would have done fine for us given the opportunity. Unfortunately we had to shoe-horn a goalkicker into the side at his expense.

| I thought he was just a little unluckyin that he was the one to lose his spot to a specilist kicker and in a younger player he needs to be playing week in week out. Best of luck to him especially against the Storm who are something else

| I'll be watching on Sunday, so I'll let you know how he gets on.
Either way, it will be hard to shine against the Storm, although they were exposed a bit out wide last week, so maybe a few more teams will adopt that strategy.

Just read on an aussie forum that John is wanted by Panthers, Tigers and Broncos all trying to get him. Not good enough for us, but yet 1, 2, 3 NRL clubs making offers.... Whats that say? Was it our team or our coach?

| Although I rated the lad, I think he was a victim of circumstance. He perhaps would've settled better at an established team. He showed glimpses of what he could do with his excellent cut out passes, but sadly he bore the brunt of the criticism for the teams poor form.

Or was it him, maybe he didn't settle here or with our game.
He showed very very little individualy and he was given plenty of time, so you can't blame the coach or the team for that.
If the coach is to be blamed for anything IMO it would be for playing him as long as he did.

| John didn't get a fair crack of the whip, in the main, due to our lack of a kicker and tbf to the lad, the whole team hit their stride until he was long gone.
If the three NRL teams mentioned are after him, then it's likely that we have missed out on a decent player and we could do with a stand off for next term

| Sometimes overseas players don't settle straight away. He probably feels more comfortable in his game where he is, with no pressure of kicking added to that.
And maybe their structure is different to ours too.
Proves it was a good decision to try him, just didn't work out
