| Mattie Wildie did a good job, so would be ahead of Isaac in my view. Matty put in some good kicks with ball in hand by all account, so that's 1 trick I've not seen Isaac perform in 12 months.
Fair does if others see the spark that brought him to the attention of NZW, but I don't see it.
As a Trinity fan born into the days of Henry Paul Isaac has proved to be a massive disappointment in my view, I'm all for cheering him on & would love to be proved wrong (as I was with Raliegh), but I just don't see it.
If Wilko's money hadn't run dry at Salford Isaac wouldn't be our issue. We'd be concentrating on Wildie & Goulding as our understudies & contemplating where to spend that cap place when the right player comes on the market.

| John had a good game, but Wildie was stand out today, I thought the young guns did a great job in the second half and the 2 wingers look good as did Cowling, thought Annekin tore up the middle well and I thought we played some good stuff with both our first choice team in first half and second team in the 2nd half.
Anyone thinking we haven got strength in depth are mistaken, saying all that Donny are a team that have only just been promoted to the 2nd tier and that did show a bit, but I thought they were organised well and to a certain extent defended well, our speed and passing was just to good for them, but I can see them doing OK in their league

| The gulf in fitness and conditioning was never more obvious than when Foxy kept coming off his wing and putting the Donny forwards on their backsides with a big hand-off. That was rather the story of the first half - good hit-out, but not much for RA to learn I wouldn't have thought.
The second half was somewhat different, with some young guns putting in decent shifts; Annekin looked a handful, as did Kay, Cowling and Singleton.
Enjoyed the lags giving Uncle Albert a hand with the tackle-count by the way, although they became tediously disrespectful to the Donny lads towards the end.
Nice little stadium that by the way - comfy seats.
