Yes but as it be announced in the express, the last story was they was near to signing him, it could be the follow up story. , but if not him I would say Andy Raleigh/Wilks longer terms..

| Assuming that the first choice centres will be Collis and Smith next season, I hope he gets the nod before Mellars should an opportunity arise.

| Well done Dan, all those years carting the ball up in the mud at Upton have served you well.
Best of luck.

| Mathers, how is this a good signing ? A player proven, statistically, that his defence leaves a lot to be desired. Having watched him every time he has turned out for us, he has proven to be a master at making it look like he is putting effort into defence, when he is not, this has at times been detrimental to the immediate team mates and the team as a whole. Granted, he is not bad going forward, however, surely the first thing on any decent Full Backs CV is "I can tackle to a high standard and I am prepared to put my body on the line". Also, how much will he be on per year ? I believe that he was on at least 70 Grand per year at Cas, that sort of money should pay for someone with a full range of Fullback skills. Giving a two year contract to a player like this puts him in a comfort zone personally and attitude wise, for me he is on a sharp decline in a few departments, his wages would be better spent elsewhere, like the Petrol/Taxi money to another Club and not allowing good local products to become ten pound poms, for instance.
Danny Cowling, an excellent signing, quite the opposite in defence, willing to learn, no inflated ego, grateful for any opportunity afforded to him and a good, polite lad, all round.

Well done - you might want to use an account with more than 2 posts to it's name though if you're going to try and convince anyone you're not just here to troll.
Or would that have meant you letting everyone know you're not actually a Wakey fan.

| Mathers has been the best Fullback we've had for a long time and i still believe there's plenty of improvement within him too. We aren't paying him anywhere near to the ridiculous amount Castleford were so rest easy my friend

| I understand that Ian Kirke is to be the next one coming down the A61 from Leeds, he will be a great signing.
