| Quote: Tricky2309 "Was slightly underwhelmed by his quote when signing for us - something along the lines of it was a case of playing rugby league or not playing rugby league, but if his on-field performances are good, thats the main thing'"
That point is factual though - and was part of the negotiations.
He is very keen to get stuck in with us!

| Very hard for him to say anything else really, he has just left the club he always dreamed of playing for.
I've just joined the club that I used to dream about after I'd dreamt about Rovers !!

"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

| I bit early to Judge for his first game, lets see him sweat blood in training, and follow that on the pitch, he as got what it takes.
Its upto Cook to get his hunger for the game back, come on Paul you can do it mate...

31007_1580947500.jpg EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_31007.jpg |

| He said something interesting in his post-match interview on Radio Leeds, that he knew how it would be under JK, that it is "eyes up, play what's in front of you", whereas the last few years have been very structured. That would appear to be the key to players like Cooke and Brough, that if they have instinctive flair, let them express it and don't smother it in structured plays. That sounds like the key to his frustrations under Morgan and a hint that he might return to the player he was under JK at Hull. Bodes well for us.

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.: |
|
| I thought Cooke did ok today to say he'd not trained or probably met most the guys until yesterday.
He worked hard, looked trim and showed glimpses of quality.
Once he's familar with the team, the system and the plays and once he's increased his confidence and match fitness then i am sure he will prove to be an excellent acquisition.

| Good start in my oppinion, liked the way that when he came on for the full 50 mins he was helping players with positions and generally helping the team out on the pitch.
I think he just wanted to play again and like you said on radio Leeds he mentioned the fact it was not as structured as at KR, but also if someone wanted a game of touch in Asda car park the other week when he was not playing he would have done

| Surely Cooke would not have agreed to come to Wakefield if JK was thinking of accepting the England job. If I were Cooke I would have been looking for certain assurances on that front or am I just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.

| Looked OK - couple of big haymaking balls outwide where a bit off the mark but all in all it could have been worse. Decent game to ease yourself into I think.

Said exactly the same thing myself. Couldn't see him coming and JK leaving for the England job.
