I agree, although in his 2 games so far he has not been so bad. Seems to have changed from his antics last season.

You could tell he was frustrated Broughy, just the way he is. He is like the Wayne Rooney of rugby'"

Don't insult him by calling him the Wayne Rooney of RL.

He's not done bad at all but Obst was better on friday and Martin has been spot on all season. He will do well to hang on to his place IMHO.

Agreed. Martin was in best form I have seen him in whilst wearing a Wakey top (same as Bibey)

Obst has been just as good as he can be and always puts 110% in and for me when fit must be in the team.

Obst was probably the best tackler, technique wise, on the team again on Friday. Brave almost to the point of reckless.

Had to feel sorry for Grix, absolutely nothing went right for him on Friday. On current form Martin is standing out alone for the 6 spot.

If everyones fit let Danny play reserve grade or not at all, we don't need/want to upset the apple cart.

I agree about Grix. Good player, but not sure where he fits in. I prefer someone else in every position he can play in.

He made 265 metres according to RLE. And Sam might tackle but he aint going to take the steam out of JG which is why we need someone else up front.

When on form and playing with a gd attitude, he can be 1 of the best players in SL but when he spits his dummy out he can be very disruptive to the rest of the team and become a liability. That was the case at Cas anyway

It's always been the case, going right back to when John Harbin was forced to sack him from the Academy. I don't know Broughy and I'm certainly not writing him off as a Trinity player but I do think he is a player with a limited shelf life at any club he joins. I think he may be one of those people in life who just can't stop pressing the self destruct button - you know the one that says DO NOT PRESS icon_wink.gif

Brough is a fine player, but like a lot of players of his type they are individuals, does his team contribution offset his individualism? I was surprised to see him in a pub up town on Friday evening straight after the saints game ( about 2 mins after we walked in) when I would have expected the boys wanting to be together after a difficult and emotional week.
However is this just an example of a bit of slack in exchange for, and let's be honest here, a largely wonderful player. He is without question a brilliant "individual" in our "team".
Everbodys different I suppose!!
