Those seats look to me as though they are in situ but not fixed, some people just happy to moan.

Seems like a bit of a witch hunt on Minards now that Carter has taken a back seat. No idea what the hold up is on the takeover and I am frustrated with how long its taking. I think we're way past due diligence and whatever is causing the hold up, if its from the current board, they should really relent. If Ellis sees benefit of Minards staying then that's up to him.

The stadium criticism is way off though. The reason the North Stand, which I love by the way, is short of the initial proposal is because the massive increase in costs right when we were about to start. Seats wrong way round, nothing to do with Minards, corporate boxes, times moved on from the 1990's. Hospitality is now a lounge with prime seats in the stand these days. See Anfield for example.

If you assume the league positions stay as they are now, we would end up 12th on the average for all the 3 years and bonus points.
It's close for us assuming Fev win GF. We are only just ahead of them because they won 1895 2 years ago and Toulouse winning GF
Leigh have jumped up with 1895, GF, Cc and a 4th finish this year.

So winning GF and 1895 will really help us next year as there is an extra 0.35 points there.

If you look at the RFU rules on primacy of tenure, it doesn't even go so far as saying that you have to own or have primary use, just that you would likely be able to switch a match date/time (eg for TV) with reasonable notice. I think the clause ended up being removed from the RFU criteria as it was found to be less than legal

The sooner the takeover the better.

He probably considers his job done and now is the time to move on. The announcement are probably more to do with players being released or leaving.
He does like a TV appearance which he will probably regret most of all when he leaves.

Carter has said all along he was leaving at the end of the season, even before Ellis starting talking to the club. If as he claims they have 18/19 signed up for next year then i’d guess these are the announcements coming.

Who’s signed these 19 players?
Who’s scouted and recruited them?
Who’s evaluated their performances and adjudged them to be the quality & style required?

Most of all, how do they know the Coach for next year wants these players?

It gives me a cold shiver down my spine to think that Mick Carter is the one to do the signing and that Applegarth is the Coach who’s going to coach them in the Championship.

It's been our problem for the last few years. Signing has-beens and never have-beens on long contracts then hoping the next coach can turn them into world beaters.

There seems to be a feeling, across social media, that the Championship will be a walk in the park. We could easily finish 4th or 5th in the league if we go with the same current formula.

That's what I'm doing until the takeover is confirmed and Carter, Applegarth and Minards are nowhere near the club at any level. The new owners deserve a chance, the old ones had it for several years and used them all up
