Yes one of the guys I thought of after his lengthy experience at Batley. Like you say it will all come down to who stands out as a leader in Pre-season, as well as Keegan making sure he gets a gets a great pre-season in and steps up to SL level, which I reckon he will.

Having captained a team for a couple of years playing at prop, I'm not sure how effective you can really be in the role when you are not playing full games at a time (my fault for generally being fat and lazy). I think you can still inspire your team by making meters and hits without having the added pressure of being captain. I like to see a player who will be playing the full 80 captain a team. Somone who has a tactical brain and knows the game inside out. Say what you want about Sinfield but he led by example and really managed games for his team. That's why ordinarily I'd say a half for captain. The sad thing is, is the main candidate in our crop (albeit not a half, but a pivot) in my opinion who would be capable of managing games and leading from the front is Scott Moore.

I read on one of the Aussie papers a week or two ago Newcastle were interested in David Fifita. A bit surprised the other brother is though.

I think Hirst needs to concentrate on making it into the first team and making it in super league rather than dreams of being captain, Anthony England would make a great captain, hard and very professional in training, but others may come to the front, as preseason gathers pace

I see that Warrington have signed Crosby and Savelio, could that mean that we are keeping Harrison or could Ben Westwood be coming home ?

While Benny Westwood has been a great player, but he is 35 now, and would rather we looked at younger players.

I thought Ben Harrison looked quite good, and given a good pre season behind him could be really good for us.

However, hasn't be been granted a testimonial, which if he left, would this not be jeopardised.
