Fantastic news for you and the rest of rugby league in this country. Gets a bit of good natured stick from opposing fans about his weight but responds with humour. Long may it continue, and us at Cas along with the rest of the super league clubs wish he would have signed for us.

For me this is one of the most important signings during my time watching Trinity. Davids deffo got the x factor and generally seems well liked by other clubs supporters. The games lacking true characters, that individual that can not only benefit our club but the game in general. I see him as a professional player with the common man touch who obviously through his playing ability, charisma and effort on the field finds it easy to connect with the fans.
If the marketing team manage this correctly I feel sure he could add at least 1000 to every home game.
The clubs on the up , new BV on the way, squad capable of competing and a player retained that in the past would have moved on .Its a solid situation to be in.

Fantastic news - and really uplifting to hear him explain why he's sticking around; excellent work by MC, and a great show of loyalty by a player who could probably have picked any team in SL, but made a point of wanting to see WT go to the next level.

He's daft as a brush, completely unorthodox and seems to fully enjoy every second he's on the field - and is of course absolutely devastating when in full flight; the total package, and we're very lucky to have him. Buzzing!

I think we will see more players (like Woody) want to stay now that Big Dave has committed.

I view it differently. Watts is the best prop in SL at present, he strong, direct, skilled and aggressive, in that respect he’s better than Dave as a prop imo.

However Dave isn’t just a prop he’s god knows what - totally unorthodox in every way, hell he doesn’t even look fit! Yet he will win us more games by himself than any current SL player whilst Watts can lead from the front but I don’t think he can win games by himself.

At the moment Dave is going through a purple patch where everything works - won’t last for ever but whilst it does he is the best player on SL rather than being the best prop. He’s an enigma, Watts isn’t he’s totally orthodox and brilliant at it.

So imo you can’t really compare them if that makes sense. He more comparable to Vowles or even Chase before he blew up. I’m sure Dave will eventually become a good up the middle prop but for now he has the magic. Watts will be constantly good at being a prop and will only get better.

Is it just me, or is the phrase "eat pies, score tries" catching on with everyone, as last night I said it on my facebook page, when I checked into the gym. Ive not played the sport since 2003, and havent eaten any pork pies since New Years Day!

Can kind of understand the rights issue (to a degree anyway), but to say you can't even mention it is quite baffling (I know you don't make the rules, not having a dig at you). It's not on SkySports or Trin TV, just the 'dodgy' one. Go look at your own peril anyway if anyone's interested.
