| The main difference for me yesterday was the kicking games, fair play to the wakey kickers on managing to find Ryan hall at every opportunity, next time try target the kid on debut.

| As said effort superb but too many mistakes at crucial times led to a Leeds win.
Last kick plays to BJB or Ryan Hall think kicking it dead and setting defence up would be a better option against a world class Leeds back line who have serious pace also thought this would have been discussed?
As said last year in discussions we lack pace in our backs which is why we bought Lynne but then tried to turn him into a centre which hasn't worked out.
Wildie should have been on bench and brought him on for last 20 at dummy half moving Aiton to loose. Wildie has a kicking and passing game also taking a little pressure off both Smiths. He's also got some pace which could have troubled a tiring Leeds defence.
I hope Tautai calms down a little and doesn't continue to make as many mistakes as some last night led to a try and in part cost the game. Other School boy errors like kicking out on full by Lee Smith from kick off shouldn't happen at this level, should have gone short.

| Quote: Disney cat "In all fairness to Mathers the ball when kicked by Leeds hit Lee Smiths foot and Mathers saw that so tried to keep it in play, But I think the ball played the man so he should have just let it go, So no fault with Mathers on that one for me.'"
Ah, the beauty of another angle. I didn't see that from where I was stood. I'll give him a bit of slack then.

Have to agree.....Wildie should have been 18th man and not Lyne...okay you can't legislate for Kirmond having an adverse reaction to a painkilling injection, as has been reported this morning, but what is the point having someone sitting on the bench for 80 minutes
Tautai was trying too hard IMHO...perhaps he wanted to make an impact on his first game back, and it just didn't happen for him, but I believe he is a class act and will set up some tries for us in the not-too-distant future !!
Lee Smith kicking out on the full WAS a schoolboy error, but what was equally frustrating was that he had previously done a superb kick off (when Leeds had just gone back in front), and managed to kick it into touch Danny Brough style, but then on the following kick off just punts it up in the air, for Leeds to catch, and as for him being "taken out" on the grubber kick to the line, don't get me started on that one... he runs into the defender every time then falls on the floor like he's been shot, well I'm sorry Lee, most refs are wise to that one !!!
All that being said, I thought it was a superb effort from the boys, and was the most entertaining game I have seen from them this season...keep up the good work..

| We had 4 sets of 6 in a spell in the first half and came away with nothing. Leeds would have ground down the opposition with that much ball. We came back up the field and instead of dropping a goal, Tim puts grubber through, BJB goes the length of the field and instead of 7 points up and ball back, it's all square with defending to do against a Champion team with their tails up. On the other thread about last Fridays game, mentioned that Leeds have a knack of pulling a rabbit out of the hat when it matters. Unfortunately the assistant aiding them last night, was Wakey.

| Showed our limitations last night I'm afraid - no complaints at all about the effort, but our squad is paper thin and some of our players lack the ability to make the right decisions in a tight situation; our game management is haphazard and we don't have the ability to win when a game becomes an arm-wrestle. The only way to fix that is with recruitment, and I'd say a quality 6 should be top of the shopping list. I'd also suggest that we're short at least one pacey winger - if the rumours linking us to Adam Swift have any basis in reality, that could be a decent straight replacement for Foxy.
On the positive side, our forwards once again out-muscled the Champions, with Amor, Poore and Raleigh dominating the Leeds pack. I also thought Aiton played a bit more freely and as a result, made us more unpredictable from DH - if he continues to play like that, he could be a force next season.
Overall, I'd suggest that Agar has wrung about as much as he can from this group of players; this off-season is crucial in terms of trimming some dead wood and bringing in two or three key individuals to take WTW to the next level.

| I don`t think Wakefield are that far off a top 6 side or at the very least a top 8.
You are lacking a shrewd half back someone like Briers who would have done a job for a year.
A decent fullback who can run the ball back and chime into the line and a decent centre.
Your forwards when fit are a match for most SL teams and certainly seem to have the beating of our pack every time we play you.
How on earth we let Amor go and keep the likes of Kirke god only knows.
Good to see the Leeds old boys Mathers and Smith help us again just like Fox and Smith the week before

Is that what happened? Can't see the tryline from the North Stand so had no idea what happened with any of the tries or action at that end. Also see what everybody means about the PA system in there. Could hardly hear a thing from it, even when the crowd was quiet.

They had 4 sets in the first 3 or 4 minutes of the game.....18 consecutive tackles if I remember correctly.....they also forced us to drop out 3 times in the first half.....they had plenty of possession in good position but for the most part our defence was very good.....
Looking at their tries......they scored 2 from poor passes....both may even have been marginal forward.....poor passes anyway in the fact that they hit the floor before being picked up......a length of the field breakaway when we were pressing.....not the first time it's happened either!!
Then there was the farce try from Ablett which definitely shouldn't have been a try.....definitely offside and tackled Smith without the ball....high aswell.......
Rob Burrow's try was irrelevant really....
We scored 3 well executed/taken tries and one soft one.....we were the better side on the nigh and should have won

| Should have could have story of Agars rain I'm afraid.
Superb effort by the players and fans.
It's just not enough to take the points.
We should have taken 4 points from the 2 games and came away with nought!
Credit to Leeds they know how to win games.

| Can I sniff another Agar out bandwagon approaching? He's brought young players through and is developing them as quick as he is able, the team is doing ok and if not for a few individual errors could be comfortably inside the 8. He has brought in some fantastic over seas players and British ones and has them playing entertaining stuff. He has been no where near the liability we were told he would be by every man and his dog in Hull. The players obviously like him and enjoy the environment he has cultivated, why would players sign up for long term deal if they felt he was ? Some people have short memories from where he has brought this team to. I'm saying he's done a good job, it's not perfect but he's done outstanding with the resources he has. Keep it up RA.

| I agree Mable the true barometer is the fact that experienced players have resigned and as you say that means they rate the guy.
We are not far off.
As we all know that means a half back to compliment Tim.
Sykes still valuable re. goal kicking and utility ability.
Plus a powerful, fast outside back.
Anything else a bonus.
