Why do some people not get that, we are not talking a full season just the odd couple of games if needed.

| Quote: Chief Stinkwort "Why so confident? Leeds have the option to take Kyle back next year or the year after. Look at the age of our forwards and you'll see that despite having signed Griffin and Moore, we'll be looking for pack replacements in the very near future.
Do you honestly think that a relatively young and rapidly improving player like Amor would want to stay at a club with little chance of title success in the near future, if given the choice to go back to a team that's won 5 GF's in the last 8 years?'"
The fact that you had the chance to give him a shot at first team rugby and haven't says a lot. His form back end last year was better than Richard Moore's and didn't will probably stick in Kyle's mind. He's already spend numerous deluded years at headingley and i am sure he's ready to commit to us and not you. Think you need to see beyond this big club mentality and see that you can't keep all the good players and expect to pick and choose who you want. Who's to say we are not offering a better deal long term at the end of the loan period.

I thought the deal was that he has a three-year contract with Leeds that reverts to Wakefield for years 2/3 *only* if Leeds don't take up their option. Whatever deal Wakefield offer at the end of the loan doesn't come into it because the contract for 2013/4 is already signed and Leeds have the right to choose which club he'll play for.
May be wrong on this, but think that's the situation.

That's not how I read it, but it is a little confusing.
My understanding is that Kyle has signed a 3 year deal with Wakefield, however as he is currently under contract to Leeds they have an option to offer him an extension to his contract with them but only if they do it before July. My understanding is that it would then be up to Kyle to decide if he wanted to take up that option. Leeds cannot force him back to Headingley unless I am misunderstanding the whole situation.

The bottom line is Leeds retain the option to resign him after one year of his contract.
Props tend to mature with age. Do you think Hetherington et al don't know this? Griffin and Moore have loads of experience but Amor is learning all the time. Leeds are prepared to let him develop that experience at a different club, but the clause is there very specifically to allow them to re-sign him if his improvement continues. If his form slides they will let him see out his contract at Wakefield. You can call it tough or cynical if you like but the Leeds board are smart enough to have left themselves in a 'win-win' situation with this.
As for Amor, he wouldn't be the first to be farmed out by Leeds during his developmental years in Superleague..only to return to the club as a much more complete player... nor will he be the last.
Not sure where you get 'numerous deluded years from'. I make it one and a bit years before he went out on loan.

No, the bottom line is Leeds have an option to OFFER him an extension to his contract which expires at the end of the year, provided they do this before July.
Even if Leeds do this, Kyle DOES NOT have to accept that offer.
He may do, thinking he will win more with Leeds, or he may not, knowng that Leeds have overlooked him in the past and signed players (who IMO are not as good) to play ahead of him.
I can only speak from my own point of view but if it was me and Leeds had seen my form last year (in a very poor team) and then still decided to bring in a couple of new props ahead of me and not given me a chance to prove myself/earn a spot then I'd tell them to stick it.
You can only win medals by playing and if Leeds are not willing to play him then what's the point of going back there?
At the end of the day the decision will be Kyle's (if Leeds offer him a new contract) and anyone trying to guess what he will do is doing just that - GUESSING! We'll have to wait and see.

You don't know the terms of the deal any more than we do; it's very unlikely that the player's agent has allowed his client to be maneuvered into a position of total powerlessness, just as it seems unlikely that either club will have left themselves totally vulnerable to the other.
