| Quote: The Avenger "So we get a stadium and move on!'"
Certainly not. All I'm saying is politically and financially the stadium is the hardest part of this to deliver. Although it is a community stadium, it's very much seen as Trinity's stadium. The council can hide behind the club over the failure to deliver that. They can't hide behind the failure to deliver the other elements therefore political pressure and media exposure will be far greater. We all know how these weasels work. Start asking difficult questions and applying some outside pressure and watch them squirm.

| Reading yesterday's press conference with MC and one of our sponsors, new 6 year deal. In the article it mentions (hopefully) Wakefield Community Stadium is imminent I maybe reading too much into but hopefully a good sign.

| The quote is from the man from Handons not MC . Don't build up hopes it'll just pizz you off when it all falls apart. Nothing will happen with our venture until the 5 towns development happens and that seems to be progressing really well, not.

You obviously haven't read the Pont + Cas then!

| They've released new (?) plans for a shopping/retail park just off Junction 32/freeport with the Cas ground sitting inside in. But as we know too well, doesn't matter how many new plans or pretty images and press releases get put out it doesn't make it any more real than ours, not yet anyway. As with our ground - I'll believe it when I see it

| The video for Axiom is not aimed at the public, it's aimed at commercial partners. It's essentially a plea/an advert publicising the opportunity...it's a desperate measure, for a hugely underfunded project.

Although there is little doubt that ourselves and Cas need to improve their grounds/ move to new ones, it would be great to go back to the times when emphasis was put on team performance, rather than counting plastic seats.
The ongoing stadium issues, set Cas and Trinity as mortal enemies, when it appeared for a long time that it would be either/or and one club would be consigned to The Championship (which may well have suited the agenda of The RFL).
Yet, since the original million pound game, both clubs seem to have moved on and it's time that we all got back to talking about Rugby League.
Cas are our closest rival and although they play in an outdated stadium, I'd rather watch Trinity play Cas darn t'lane than go to the John Smiths Stadium (or Headingley) and a home game trumps any of them, especially if we win

Absolutely 100% correct, also Fromm what I've heard the topsoil and coal extraction is going to take longer and cost more than original estimates someven the 2021 date is extremely optimistic

| Is this whole Axiom thing (which will include Cas's new stadium) all part of a grand Box/Jeffries plan for Assoleford to become the new"lead" town of WAKEFIELD MDC????

| I can see why after so many false dawns most still don't believe it but I'm more convinced than ever that as they say work will start this year. There is a lad on the Cas forum who would argue with any one that it would not happen. That was until a couple of weeks ago when their boss called them all in and said they would be setting on new staff as they had got a contract for work up there and would be starting soon. There were mistakes in the Pont + Cas article especially the bit about removing the over head power line. it was actually under ground. Once again I don't blame any one for being doubters but also as I've said before we'll have to wait and see.

I think you are getting giddy over nothing.
The road works and enabling may well start this year, but there won't be a filled out retail complex built and certainly not a stadium, any time soon.
There is no commitment from the developer to build a stadium at any given trigger point. Until they've balanced the books on the retail build, there'll be no stadium. And with only 4 statements of interest to date...
Still, Box will make sure Wakey don't progress their project, while ever the Cas project is up in the air...
