Quote: bren2k "Spartans U13's missed out on the Continuation Cup by 2 points this morning - Stanningley scored on the last play of the game to just nick it.

Cracking game, very tight and played in great spirits - congratulations Stanningley.'"

watched all the games this weekend thought sandal were hard done to by the ref and as a neutral i could say it was as close to cheating as ive ever seen. to play on and on then blow when the other team scored was ridiculous. thought the 17 had a cracking game is workrate was fantastic.

yes they was rattled in the first half and Dewsbury did come with a game plan that worked,
they did have to grind this one out, good teams have to do this and for me its a shame the score line did get away in the end.
I managed to compliment the Dewsbury coach on their efforts in which he too was pleased with their performance

I can't agree with you as I'll get into trouble - the penalties that led to that field position were a bit mystifying though and the final whistle did seem rather convenient, but I guess that's sport!

In reality, we shouldn't have been in that position at all - at 18-6 in the first half we should have closed the game down, but the lads didn't stick to their game-plan and I can say with certainty that some of the things they did on the field have never been done in training!

It was a great experience and no shame to lose - a cup win in our first season only 7 months after forming the club was probably too much of a fairy-tale to come true. What I'm most proud of is that around half the lads in our squad are brand new to the game and have never been signed in with any other amateur club.

We'll kick on as they say! On that subject, we're hoping to launch next season with 14s, 13's & 12's, so if anyone is interested in a coaching role, get in touch.

didn't see nowt of day 1 but great finals and the crigg 12s seem to go hand in hand .
a game that should of been sewn up by criggs last full set was nearly taken into extra time and another ref could of given a different call . but on the face of it it was a game full of little calls that maybe could of gone one way or another . thankfully the lines man knew more about the knock on rule as it would of been a tragedy to of been here talking about a try being given to crigg for a move like that.

great game , better than the hull game? ermmm certainly more intensity for my liking and a great atmosphere .

good advert all round for under 12s rugby league.

Summed up pretty well,I think on the day the better side won the game but you are quite right another ref could have given a penalty try at the death.it was a very hard fought game with two teams giving it there all.

Locklane for us this weekend and we will after be at our best to get a result that would put us in the box seat in the race for second spot.

We're looking to bounce back from our cup defeat with a league match against West Bowling on Saturday, 11:30 ko; we put 70 on them earlier in the season, but I expect them to be much improved and looking for revenge - should be a cracker.

Once again - if anyone is looking for a coaching role or knows someone who is, please get in touch; we'll need 3 new Head Coaches for next season and are happy to discuss helping with qualifications and such.

panthers 12s went down 26-16 at locklane, probably our worst display of the season and the injury curse strikes again has we now have 3 players nursing broken bones and 1 player with stitches in his knee.

it wasnt the best game has it was littered with errors on both sides but we can take comfort in the fact we only completed 4 sets all game and yet we were still well in it until the final play of the game which shows how far we have progressed this year.

hard lines fella,

its a shame for all that the league is turning into chaos.

crigg have so many games in hand to play i can not see them finishing , the mystery draw wont disappear icon_lol.gif and no one want to play a rearranged match at a free w/e or midweek except clubs out of division 1 it seems.

crigg need to be able to play to see if they are capable of winning all games.

lockers pushed close again , stanningley did to.

teams are bringing it to crigg and the final; few weeks should be humdingers if the summer ever arrives and the fixtures get sorted.

no more cups icon_cool.gif

It is turning into chaos with the fixtures,I also find it strange that you believe crigg are struggling to get there games in,in our case we were desperate to play our league fixture against you but the game was called off has you had some players missing,I don't know how we got a point each for it has the game is to be re-organised for September.

The fixtures need to be better organised and a full fixture list needs to be done so people can plan there lives.

It's certainly not straightforward - we've got several games in hand and at this point, I'm not sure when we'll fit them in.

Hey ho - after last week's game against West Bowling was cancelled due to the weather, we try again this weekend vs Fev Lions; fingers crossed for a rain-free few days, otherwise the lads are going to forget how to play.

I posted last week that we was playing East Leeds last week but its this weekend we play it icon_confused.gif why we had the weekend off surprised me but with the rain it would of been called off,

tonight the under 14s played at Lock lane in the service area as a finish to training period,
two well balanced sides enjoyed the evening but the pitch was a mare for them to play on, it was that long you couldn't see the lads boots and one lad that got hurt and was laid on the pitch you couldn't see him he was that small

get it cut ffs icon_rolleyes.gif
