| Quote Kettykat="Kettykat"On a side note did hudds marquee signing play and if so how did he go ?. Couldn’t go last night a having a disc repaired in hospital and with no coverage with rhubarb I’m in the dark somewhat'"
Sezer looks like an excellent signing to me. He took the ball up close to the defensive line before putting players through gaps a number of times.
He could quite easily do for Huddersfield what Hastings did for Salford last year and make an average looking side very competitive.

| Not too much to cheer from a Trinity perspective last night.
Huddersfield seemed to treat this as a dry run for round one and Sezer was very good and clear MoM.
Of the two sides, I dont see too many changes for Huddersfields starting 13 for their first game but, there will be 4 or 5 for Trinity.
I'm just hoping that we are "keeping our tinder dry" and not wanting to show how we may attack KR next week as, considering that Hudds were much weakened in the second half and we had plenty of possession in their 20, we looked awful with the ball.
Westerman showed some glimpses and Kirmond was excellent when he came on, Atkins looks quality and just seems to do the little things really well.
The one thing for sure is that expectation is not anywhere near boiling point (understatement) and although you cant read anything into these games, your gut suggests that we will be battling for mid table, rather than genuinely challenging for a play off spot.
Having said that, if we win next week, which is all that matters for now, everything will be hunky dory.

| Didnt go last night ai cant comment but her in indoors and the lads did.the missis never seems concerned about wakey in the shocking run last season she always more than confident that we would be ok and never once said we could be in trouble she definitely is a glass half full type of person but she came home last night and said oh dear gonna be a long hard season and she fears for the team.she said it was clear to see how we lack in ideas and looked so unfit we actually gave pens away twice from been too slow on stop clock.
I know it was a friendly and yes we had a lot out injured(again somthing concerning) but hudds also had some quality players missing in cudjie, edwards, gavet and tai uate and roberts.
Anyway off into town to book onto bus for kr game up the trin

| The type of performance appears reminiscent of our bad run last season where we just could not score. I really hope Brough makes something of what should be his last season but I fear based on last season and being another year older it may be time to use him as backup, but I know we won’t.

| I think it took us 73 minutes to make a clean break last night (Kirmond) and 78 minutes to score a point...just about sums up the performance for me, however, as others have said, hopefully we were keeping our powder dry

I thought he was decent, looked a real handful with the ball but made a couple of errors. Serious competition with Arona for the LF spot. Definitely one of them starting and one on the bench for me.

| Just out of interest is any one going to the reserve game at Doncaster tonight, thinking of having a ride over.

Huddersfield will have kenny Edwards, James Gavet, and ukuma taai in their starting 13 round 1.
