Yes Ted needs to go even if he hasn't deliberately done wrong IMHO. But before he does he owes us the time to allow others to step forward.

The mechanism will be administration, which will happen if we don't raise the money to pay HMRC. The white knight either appears before then, buys the club and settles the debt, or buys the club from the administrator. At least, that's how I understand it.

Fair enough, I just don't want Ted to bolt if he is still of some use.

Like all of us I don't know exactly what he has done, though to me it's not looking pucker whatever it ends up. That said, no matter how devious and wheeler dealing he has been I doubt when/if he cooked up this dodgy deal he ever meant it to go so horribly wrong. That's not excusing him, if true he deserves all the hostility he gets. However as I say if he didn't mean it and thus has some remorse, then as far as I'm concerned he needs to give his all to help put it right.

So for me I'd keep him in the hot seat until he has done all he can to rectify the situation.

It's really hard to explain what I mean, no way am I being soft on the guy (if all true) I'm just being pragmatic on behalf of what may or may not be left of the club.

I don't know about not meaning it to go horribly wrong - obviously, he didn't want that - for me, it's a question of whether or not he was deliberately trying to deceive and profit from the club. That hasn't been answered, for mine, so I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt until it is.

That said, yes, of course he should go, no question.

People like you with your lynch mob holier than thou big hissy fit mentality achieve nothing, you just love the sound of your own voices - sadly you never learn. Shouting, accusing and abusing will not sort this mess out. If you think hanging Ted out to dry will help your wrong and even more deluded than even he appears to be.

No room for sentiment or revenge, we need to salvage what we can, and like it or not there will be an element of working with Ted involved. No point kicking a wounded dog who may still be able to bite you. Try and be grown up about it.

One more point, THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY SERIOUSLY INTERESTED PARTIES in the real world, they only exist in the over active imaginations of people like you.

I would imagine that within a matter of days it will be be taken out of his hands as we'll either be in the hands of a new owner or the administrator. If by this time next week Ted is still in charge then he won't have a club to run as the HMRC will have had us wound up.

Either way Teds position is untenable.

It's that bit that worries me. Basically if we can keep out of administration long enough to be rescued that would be a real bonus for our future. As far as I can tell Ted is the only one who could possibly hold the line for a bit longer, it's all about time now. I don't know how he could do it but I have a feeling he might, he's managed it for the last 15 years .

We'll survive (99% certain) at what level who knows?
