| Quote: TRB "BoI still own BV. There is an approved PP for housing, but tied by a covenant that means it can only be re-developed if WTW have an alternative stadium to move to.
IF we go with the BV option, the ground will need to be bought back from the bank!'"
What is the current state of the ongoing legal proceding to remove that covenant?
How much is that land with the PP currently 'for sale' for?

| A few more questions as some of this seems just a little too good to be true. I hope it isn't but you know what they say about that....
Where are YC getting the mythical £10million from to pay for us to revamp BV? They were skint last I saw and any money raised from sales would have only serviced their sizable debt?
What timescale are we talking about here for the development to commence? Is it still after a certain amount of other development has been built and occupied or does that not matter anymore? The Newcold development was seperate wasn't it? The rest didn't yet have FULL PP just outline didn't it? Is this also a trigger.
Are their likely to be any planning issues regarding the dev. of BV? Could we end up with another resident battle with things like lack of light, increase in traffic, noise pollution etc being grounds for refusal or are the council fully onside with this?
Here's hoping it goes ok.

| If YKP pay say 8 to 10 million for the BV upgrade which (like Sixtogo says is doubtful they have) who will pay the BOI for the lease of the ground back ?

I would have thought the money to buy BV would be part of that 8-10 million wouldn't it rather than on top of it?

I'm not going to comment on values in what maybe an ongoing negotiation - sorry.
The covenant is being protected currently and hopefully for the duration required. There is a string case now that it could remain ad infinitum.

All good questions. Too good and too soon to be giving full appraisals on a public forum.

Any package agreed around BV will have to include the purchase of the ground and Superbowl.

Just curious, but does that land give you sufficient space to redevelop BV in a way that would allow you to grow as a business or would you just be maintaining your current level?

Yes it would, but it's fair to say not at the level NM would.

You make some great points but that's a bit of aN emotive sentence. It's not mythical and you know it, what it is at present is theoretical and I think you'll agree there is a huge difference.
For a start we don't know any amounts however it would be a rough amount one would assume would be needed for YC on either project. However it's fairly obvious how YC would befit from the new deal and would theoretically at least have a good reason to find the cash, whether that's 2, 5 or 10 million I don't know just yet.
It's a mess, no doubt but we have to remain positive without being gullible. Positivity breeds positivity, negativity is the easy way out. By that I just mean give those involved the time to sort it out rather than speculate using over emotional language and often wild speculation (not meaning you in particular).
You may well be right as may Bren but at least let's give them a chance. This after all is an unfairly leaked story that wasn't intended to get out until a new deal had been finalised. Hence it's a little unfair to expect the answers to questions that are still under negotiation. The W/E did it's job but as ever the timing has not helped us at all.

| Hi I've been looking at this subject for sometime now and I have to say I'm not surprised that NW as failed , the 106 never promised a stadium in any time frame , 9m had to be found by WCT or 80% of the whole development had to be built and let so YC only ever made a loose promise , do the maths they is not 9m profit in the project to pay for it and this a company 27m in the hole!
YC got what they wanted and used the club as a lever.
What I'm really unhappy about is the way R4 NM as mislead use all, all we have heard is " good news to come but can't say to much just now" again and again and we still hearing it ,
Only 3 weeks ago they were made trustees and good news was coming , and look at it now! We have all stroked is EGO and he loves it but what does he have to say to all the people who he as put down only to be proven that they were right
We need people to be honest and upfront with the fans for to many year we have been kept in the dark .
Saying that I do thinking he as been used as a puppet for others .
Regarding BV , YC have no obligation to do anything and if they do where is the money coming from ? Remember there in the hole

If that had been a coherent post, you probably have some valid points in there - but I do sense a lot of bile too.

Yep, another attempt at troll spite from a similar poster a week ago - bit sad.
However much of it is true even if the context is slanted.

| The apologists for the club who pontificate on here have lost all credibility over this and the deadly silence from the club is an insult to season ticket holders. All promise no action as usual. Unfortunately this club is the laughing stock of the rugby league because it is so shambolic in the way it is run.
