Cas are welcome to Gaz Ellis if he comes back, the bloke will be shot after many years in the NRL.
Tying Chase up is a good move by Cas, he’s a very good S.L player, but presumably the inevitable increase in his wage will reduce their options in the pursuit of new players.
I just feel he (Chase) likes the Big Fish in a small pond syndrome, maybe the financial remuneration offsets the desire to win stuff, or maybe he’ll move to a club challenging for honours in 2016.

For me their problem isn't Chase it is Danny Orr.
Tying Chase up is great no doubt at all. But he wasn't really firing at Cas until Orr came to take the organisation part away from him. He was free to play then.
Orr has limited years left. They need tow ork on the replacement or their big bucks wll be wasted on Chase.

I wouldn't be getting yourself wound up - the Cas (lack of) recruitment thread went off down a cul-de-sac about the quality of WTW signings at one point - it's only natural.
Retaining Chase is certainly good news - he'd walk into most SL teams after all - but RW appears to have scored a pretty spectacular own goal in terms of how it's been spun. Way to hack off your hardcore supporters Dickie!

you need more than that. you finished 9th... you may as well have finished 13th. you missed the playoffs so your squad needs to improve. what if he gets a season long injury in round 2? castleford are such a one man team. |

i would ask this in the cas forum, but i wanted to use long words that cas fans don't understand, like "work" and "permit"  |

He'll be the English equivalent of Steve Menzies (durability-wise) when he comes back, I reckon. Would add a lot to any team. |

Sentence has already been passed, which is why he was on the plane back to England a month or so ago. No worries for Cas on that score.
