I understand the call for loan players, but we have to be prepared to blood young players, especially when we have an injury situation... If we ignore out youth at times like this...when do they get the chance. Stevenson might not be the finished product but he is a precocious talent, and an odd game here and there will aid his development. We also have Jayden Myers waiting in the wings for an outside back slot.
I’m a fan of making as little changes as possible. That way we can at least maintain consistency in the structures at least. The way for me would be Stevenson or a half on 2 week loan. Walmsley will more than likely come in for Russell as a straight swap. Does anyone know what injury Griffin has. Powell said we lost him but didn’t really elaborate much. Griffin tweaked his hamstring before the game That’s a shame, though Croft played well I thought.

| League Express reporting that Olly Russell has had surgery on his hand and will be out for 8 weeks, Matty Russell's rib injury will keep him out for 4 weeks but Griff is likely to be fit for this week's Cas game.

Hope they do not bring Gruff back in against Cas .It is backs we need .We started the game against St with 5 genuine backs .and it showed.Do not look on Scott as one when it says second row who can play , to me that means not fast of the mark .Would go as far to say we have gone a bit sluggish down that wing since he came in .But hard to judge with the spine as it is Not having a go just stating what I think

| Scott is a centre. No question. Just like Hall, who has played second row too.
And I reckon Scott is faster than Hall

I watched Hull fc a number of times last season where Scott played second row and he was very good and Hulls best player at second row. I thought that’s where he would play for us. Scott in pre season looked good at centre but he hasn’t quite found that level in the season yet for me. I’m hoping there’s more to come from him and I’m sure there will be.

| He is good at sr but he is a centre who plays second row.
He was asked the question at one of the Shardholder meetings and he was pretty clear about it.
Before his injury he looked pretty unstoppable.
I don't think Lino, Storton, Scott and Walmsley have played together since.

He is a centre yes and I’m certainly not questioning that but it is good to have him as a second row option and he’s very good there. He’s quite a big lad which helps. He did look unstoppable in pre season and I’m hoping we see that again soon in the season. He’s been taking more carries out of deep in our half than on the front foot though lately. It’s a shame Storton ended up injured because that right edge with Storton, Scott and Lino looked dangerous like you say. We may see that though second half of season.

| Even with Storton out we?re pretty well stocked with second rowers Vangana, Nikotimo, Griffin & Croft. We don?t need to start putting Scott down as a back rower. As for his form he?s been back for 3 games and will just about be getting his match fitness and timing back. Since his return from a lengthy injury he?s been playing in a team with changing half backs and the 2nd choice fullback, so the slickness of our expansive game has been off.

| Total RL reporting Nikotemo has damaged his shoulder but no details on how badly....no mention of Rodwell though, so hopefully he's good to go this week

Whatever it is, hopefully it?s not long term.

They also mentioned how he'd made a quick comment on Trueman hopefully being good for Magic, but he didn't go into details.
