You keep trying to find a way why it won't work but that bigger revenue will be going to their team not ground development I'm sure.

| Quote MOPSEY LIVES ON="MOPSEY LIVES ON"Having read your statement Mr minnards, what are your plans to cover the 600 grand loss from this year with a big loss still to come, your plans to service the covid loan, your plans to service the stadium debt, buy a competitive team and also pay the bills. We've also had nearly 50 grand injected off the fans and carter's dad putting 300 grand in. What is going on at our club. Yes our club not yours. Just go now for the sake of the club.'"
Why do you keep asking the same question when you don't understand the answers?

| I thought that was a forking good interview… clear… factual… informative…
I have a lot of time for John Minards… but he has a much thicker skin than me… I would have told you all to rack off and do it yourselves!

| Quote BackSeatCoach="BackSeatCoach"=#FF0000Well at least he has come out and confirmed he wants to stay - what we all knew - the JM advocates on here swore blind that nobody was blocking the deal and scalded the naughty boys in the corner. But by saying "I want to stay for another 2 years" is just like saying "I'm not leaving" in some ways?. JM is playing a dangerous game both with the IMG points (it's a good year to get relegated, we should be right in 2025), and by trying to negotiate remaining in a Matt Ellis owned club. Notice JM guiding the narrative by saying that Ellis would have a role as CEO and be responsible for ......etc (inference being he would be responsible to possibly a JM led board). The language is a little arrogant for me, and clearly JM wrote both questions and answers. Has anyone heard of "Walter Mitty" on here?'"

I don't think I've seen something where he says he "wants" to stay.
However, once again.......staying to help as CEO or any other role at the club, is not the same as staying as shareholder. He has said he will transfer his shares.
The only offer on the table the last time it was discussed is for Ellis to take them all.
Minards staying to help at the club is not the same as blocking a takeover.
Completely separate discussions.

Look on the bright side because of them you no longer have to get up early to watch any live games because currently there is no deal to show the Championship. I am sure being a true supporter like you rather than those like me who you consider troublemakers will still buy a season ticket to support the club and the good work of the two incumbents despite your location. I have despite the fact that I knew that I would be unable to attend any games for the last two seasons.
It was clear we had reverted back to the year one plan, remove all high earners and sell those we can. We then go through an abject season of poor performances and results. We then bring in players towards the end of the season (cheaper). The advantage then was we had the play offs giving us a second chance of survival. The plan this season did not but we still followed the same pattern with the inevitable outcome.

Bit disingenuous that Pop Tart. I have not heard any member of the clubs directors advise what their plans are to finance the club if the sale to Matt Ellis does not go through. We do know that there was a £ 600,000 trading loss in 2022, directors have indicated that the trading loss for 2023 is likely to be higher than in 2022. We know that central funding in the Championship is less than £ 200,000. We do know that there are no parachute payments for the relegated club, we can assume that season ticket sales and shirt sales will be significantly reduced. We do know that the directors have committed to dual contracts with several players , Lino, Jowett, Ashurst, Pitts, Gale, Kay which will be a significant financial commitment. I see Wakefield fans on social media posting that the trading losses do not matter as all other clubs are losing money as well, but the other clubs have owners who cover the losses that is why Kan Davey`s loan to Huddersfield is rumoured to be in excess of £ 20,000,000. Without a backer putting money in to cover the losses then you just run out of cash. So it is perfectly reasonable to expect the directors to at least confirm what their plans are re financing the club going forward if the Matt Ellis deal does not go through.

| My point being, when I've explained how the accounts work, I still get the same question a few days later.
The loss in particular is 2022, so has already been handled. It isn't something to now handle.
He implies having loans and donations are a bad thing, but they don't have to indicate us having no money, they just wanted more to make things easier.
The members donations of £1k and £500 were not desperation. If they hadn't had it, we just wouldn't have done the extras that we did do. It didn't go towards paying a tax bill or anything.
And why should they explain? No other board does with any other club. If they did, they'd just get more questions like the ones above.
Personally, think they are better keeping quiet and just sorting it our the best they can.
I remember saying years ago when Carter was on here and people started moaning. If you have someone willing to share and include you, and you then pick fault at every turn, you'll lose that access......which of course is exactly what happened.

In the context of "will you be staying on following the completion of the takeover" he said he'd love to see us through to getting the 15 IMG points. I didn't write the article, he did.

My point being, that isn't the same as him blocking the takeover or refusing to go.
That's him saying he would if asked, but it isn't his choice.

I.never mentioned anything about loans being a bad thing at all. Interesting that people mention an asset, the stand, unless new supporters are attracted to our club then its just moving the current ones into it, also if you can't pay debt you usually sell the asset but we as a club can't sell the asset under the ground buy back so its pretty worthless realy. We're in a very difficult situation if these talks fail to complete this week.
