It may be true, it may not - but until someone who actually knows spills the beans, that's all it is, a rumour with no credibility.

Miller has overall struggled with consistency but always has a handful of very good performances in him.

He was on field like a rash all game yesterday and imo was the main reason that Field was snuffed out of the game. Yesterday was an excellent Miller performance.

Despite his faults he has always given no less than 150% on the pitch for us and if he goes will go with the majority of fans thanking him for his efforts in the RWB.

People get frustrated sometimes because they know what he is capable of and I’m his day he can be one of the best HB in the league. It’s just the consistency part but that could be partly due to other reasons.

I’m positive he will want to finish on a high this season no matter where he is next season.

IF IT'S TRUE that Jacob Miller was offered £20k a year more for three years by Cas then I don't blame him for signing, which of us wouldn't do the same in our respective employment?. He's thirty years old next Monday and this will probably be his last 'big' contract before a possible move back home to Oz.
He's been a good servant to Wakefield Trinity, and whilst not a Toppo, or a Wally Lewis has to my mind earned his money over the years.
The challenge now is to replace him with same or better with whatever budget we have available.

So, people are having a go for not paying more for a player who is slagged off more than he is praised? If all key players wanted an extra 20K, that would be one less key player we could afford to buy.

As for finances dictating squads thus dictating crowds, that is always a tricky one. Do we go into debt to get a squad that might attract crowds? And if the equation doesn't work out? Only a rich backer allows for that gamble.

Equally, we are in the entertainment business and we shouldn't rely on blind loyalty. People can find other ways to spend the money. I don't know what the answer is. It's great to know the club is financially stable after so many years of the opposite. At the same, it's wearing to watch relentless defeats.

To be fair to Willie, he's got them playing right at the right end of the season.

Do you know ,i am not too concerned about Miller going and neither am I concerned we didnt match what Cas did. I dont know what he is on but , it will be a good amount and a fair amount for his ability and stage in his career. The one that concerns me more is batch leaving.
I would imagine there will be plenty of young millers ,just outside first team recognition in Oz wanting a crack at SL. Thats all Millers was in all fairness. Batch is another matter, wakey lad through and through and I believe there is far more to come.
